Following the AGM #TheBigTour was officially launched on Saturday afternoon with the help of Mablethorpe, Skegness and Wrangle @HMCoastguard teams with plenty of photos and lots of signatures on our commemorative flag #999Coastguard #SARFamily #CGA50

Before #TheBigTour was officially launched, history was made on the @cg_associaiton 50th year with the first-ever combined virtual and face-to-face AGM. Thankfully the tech all worked flawlessly with minimal stress and the meeting was a success #999Coastguard #SARFamily #CGA50

On Friday 20th March after 350+ miles of heading south I arrived at @CG_association Head Office in Lincolnshire ahead of the charity's 50th anniversary AGM and the official launch event of #TheBigTour - it was going to be a great weekend! #999Coastguard #SARFamily #CGA50

An overnight stay at Cobleland Campsite in Gartmore helped with the initial shakedown of the van and figure out exactly what we needed before hitting the road on #TheBigTour - first impressions of the @Renault_uk Escape Crusader were tremendous #999Coastguard #SARFamily #CGA50

We have commissioned a special flag to join us on #TheBigTour which will be signed by everyone involved and who we meet on the road. It was only right the first signatures were from #EscapeCampers thanks to their support #999Coastguard #SARFamily #CGA50

We have partnered with #EscapeCampers who are supporting #TheBigTour and picked up our fully liveried off grid @Renault_uk Escape Crusader campervan earlier this month ahead of the tour launch #999Coastguard #SARFamily #CGA50

As the @cg_association celebrates its 50th anniversary, I'm hitting the road with the support of #EscapeCampers to visit all 18 operational @HMCoastguard areas to meet teams, sign up new members, sell some merch and promote our charity #999Coastguard #SARFamily #CGA50 #TheBigTour

I've been quiet on here for the last year but now I am officially on #TheBigTour with the @CG_association it seems the perfect time to dive right back in! Stay tuned! #999Coastguard #SARFamily #CGA50

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Don’t think I’ve ever looked forward to (or needed) annual leave as much as now. Here’s to three weeks of adventures and chasing the sun 🙏☀️#AnnualLeave #Wellbeing

After months of training and preparation, I’m delighted to have passed my oral and practical assessments this morning and now a qualified Level 1 Self Defence Instructor with the Scottish Centre for Personal Safety. A great opportunity to continue to give back to the community 💪

Spent a bit of time this afternoon sorting out medals and framing my Valedictory certificate after standing down from @HMCoastguard after 16 years. Proud to have these displayed in my home office alongside my other awards and certificates #999Coastguard #SARFamily #Team999

Proud to get this project over the line and now have a team of Mental Health First Aiders with operational Coastguard experience to help our people past, present and future #999Coastguard #SARFamily #MentalHealth

Lovely to see one of the @HMCoastguard Beach King Air 350 aircraft taxiing for departure at #PrestwickAirport earlier today. A great airborne SAR asset with a sophisticated array of onboard cameras and sensors to help save lives #999Coastguard #AvGeek

Sometimes all that is required is some time in the mountains... #Adventre #Travel #Wellbeing #YearsAndMilesFlyingBy

Keeping the #LEGO tradition alive. Picked up this wee guy in a toy shop this afternoon while visiting friends in Lithuania to take with me while checking out the local culture and history including the Presidential Palace 🇱🇹 #LegoTravels #Lithuania

Happy to have sent out another two @CG_Association Recognition Awards this afternoon. There’s a lot of pride and joy to be found in recognising the great work being done by others 🤙 #999Coastguard #SARFamily

Delighted to now be a qualified Mental Health First Aider having completed the course this morning alongside 15 colleagues I’ve recruited for the @CG_Association Mental Health Support Team. Massive thanks to @4ndyElwood for the outstanding training delivery #SARFamily

After 16 years I’ve taken the hard decision to close the chapter that is my time volunteering with @HMCoastguard. It’s been an incredible time but I know in my heart the time is right to refocus and to devote more time to helping our people through the @CG_Association #SARFamily

Absolutely delighted to get the first @CG_Association Recognition Awards sorted today and in the post. Love being able to recognise the amazing work being done across @HMCoastguard every day #999Coastguard #SARFamily #CGAawards
