..After 2 poor performances, we go ahead early v Poland, but fall behind in the 2nd half, &have a man sent off at CB. I set the boys to attack nonetheless, bring on some kids &say "have a go". They duly respond as 16yo's Bradley &Reid get a goal &assist each to win it....

..The pick of the goals, for me, is Wilshere's showcasing our pressing of technically weaker players. Vaughan gets his goal, and is exceptional in the air, great for a lone striker, but his wastefulness is frustrating enough that I may still look elsewhere.

..WC'06 Playoff-2nd Leg We need to find 2 goals from somewhere, but our strikers have fallen off. Alhazava gets one, his 9th in 12 & the reason we're even here tbh. But, it's quickly equalised, &late on needing 2 we push forward, letting them in to ice the game. No world cup...

..WC'06 Playoff- We were so close to glory. 5-2 in the playoff doesnt represent the tie well, but it was lost in the qualifiers. Late goals conceded against Sweden, twice, &Romania cost us hugely. Alhazava is 2nd top scorer in the campaign behind Henry, our only consolation...
