What a great view…

The Choice To Tear Down or Build Up Am I a builder as I work with care? Measuring life by the ruler and the square. Am I shaping my deeds to a well laid plan? Carefully doing the best I can. Or am I a wrecker as I walked to town? Content with the labor of tearing down.

Get up every day and be the best you can be. Be the best in the world at giving your all for every second of every minute. You can do no more than that, never let the music die in you. We have been given this day to do with as we choose. Let’s choose to have a positive impact

You get to decide who you will be in this world. You are a product of your environment, so choose the environment that will best develop you towards your objective. Analyze your life in terms of your environment. Are the things around you helping you towards success? CTC AVO

Mission command continued… 1. clearly defined goal 2. The resources 3. The timeframe Then it is up to the individuals in the field. A clear understanding of the leaders?intention, & the right training are key to the implementation of mission command. Then, trust each other.

We live our lives in a VUCA world… Volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous. When you are are in a position to see the big picture, most times you don’t have all the details. Train your people and trust your people to be confident and make great decisions in the moment. AVO

Happy Monday. Responsibility… Pass the ball… Leaders create leaders. Work hard to enable & empower the individual by trusting them with responsibility for success of the team. Leaders create leaders by passing on responsibility, creating ownership, accountability, & trust.

Play with Purpose! Our fundamental human drive comes from within – from intrinsic rather than extrinsic motivations. I love this quote… My army won because they knew what they were fighting for, & loved what they knew. Great teams feel a sense of purpose & personal connection.

Yes… “It’s hugely important to the current guys who carry the responsibility – because their job is to add to the legacy.” When you have a group of people who have that stewardship, to Try and make it a better team to pass on to the next generation, that is when you have IT.

Ubuntu… This African idea is all about others. It can roughly be translated as “I am, because we are”. I understand it to mean that any of our individual goals and efforts should be to help our community be better. That our actions affect everyone, not just us! AVO

Do you have something that gets you up and going every single day? Maybe suffer some inconvenience? Maybe sacrifice because it drives you? What’s that thing? It is the answer to the question, Why? Figure that out and let it drive you and then start sharing it with others. AVO

When authentic and rigorously adhered to, a dramatic, compelling purpose is a fundamental driver of the teams, churches, communities, people that go from good to Great. Emotion leads to action. If you want higher performance begin with a higher purpose. Ask the question why?

Self-actualization is only possible as a side effect of self-transcendence… getting over yourself. People want to be part of something larger than themselves. They want to be part of something they are really proud of, that they’ll fight for and sacrifice for, that they trust.
