AI consumes energy in 2 phases: training and inference. The first has a finite cost per training run; the second keeps accumulating with use. One training run has a defined end. Inference follows demand, whether the model handles a few requests or millions. Microblog @antgrasso Training requires computation to develop the model. Once a training run is complete, the energy consumed during that run is a fixed total. The trained model can then be used repeatedly without being trained again for every request. But every request still requires computation. The more frequently the model is used, the more inference energy accumulates. The amount also depends on how much processing each request requires. A simple question and a complex analysis do not necessarily consume the same amount of energy. For organizations deploying AI, estimating energy consumption means considering both the training process and the workload generated throughout the life of the service. #AIEnergy #AIInfrastructure

You may be missing good ideas when meetings move too fast. When you slow down, ask clearly, and give people time to think, you create the conditions for quieter voices to improve the quality of your decisions. #Leadership #WorkplaceCulture

Healthcare digital transformation shouldn’t start with technology. It should start with people. New tools can improve healthcare, but real transformation happens when technology makes care simpler, faster, and more connected. Follow @LindaGrass0 for more insights 💡

“It will only take a minute” can sound harmless until your own work keeps getting postponed, so before agreeing to another request, consider what you are putting aside and whether the request needs your attention more than what you had planned. #Focus #Boundaries

🤖 Goldman Sachs is embracing AI agents. Could this change the future of banking? Artificial intelligence is moving beyond chatbots and simple productivity tools. We're entering an era where AI agents can take on increasingly complex tasks and support entire business processes. 🚀 And when major financial institutions such as Goldman Sachs explore this technology, it's a sign of just how significant this transformation could become. From analysing financial information and supporting research to streamlining operations and automating repetitive workflows, AI agents have the potential to fundamentally change how financial services operate. 📊 But this isn't just about replacing manual tasks. It's about rethinking how work gets done, how employees collaborate with intelligent systems and where human expertise delivers the greatest value. Of course, in an industry built on trust, security and accountability, human oversight remains essential. The big question is no longer whether AI agents will enter the workplace, but how organisations will manage them effectively. 💬 Would you trust an AI agent to handle important financial tasks? 👇 #AI #GoldmanSachs #AIAgents #AgenticAI #ArtificialIntelligence #FutureOfBanking #FinancialServices #FinTech #FutureOfWork #AITransformation #BusinessAI #Automation

Scaling AI-driven efficiency in energy depends on reliable operational data and integration with existing industrial systems, two challenges highlighted by the new ADIPEC report.
The new ADIPEC Global Energy Report 2026 caught my attention: 22% of oil and gas insiders name AI-driven efficiency as a top commercial opportunity today, versus 27% in ten years. A signal of changing business priorities. Join > adipec.com @ADIPECOfficial Partner. Another finding adds context: 81% of energy insiders expect AI-driven electricity demand to exceed current forecasts. This creates a closer relationship between the energy and technology industries. Energy companies need to understand how computing demand will evolve, and technology companies must understand the capacity and operating requirements of energy systems. I find this mutual dependency particularly interesting because investment decisions in one industry will increasingly affect the other. ADIPEC 2026, taking place from 2-5 November in Abu Dhabi, offers an opportunity to examine how these developments will shape the energy business. Energy. Intelligence. Impact. #ADIPEC2026 #ADIPEC #Energy #AI

A wrong answer from a chatbot is annoying. A wrong decision from an autonomous AI agent could trigger thousands of actions before anyone spots the error. 🤖 #Sponsored And as businesses increasingly rely on AI agents to make decisions, execute tasks and work with other agents, this becomes a serious concern. I recently had a fascinating conversation with Stijn (Stan) Christiaens, Co-founder and Chief Data Citizen at Collibra, about what it really takes to make autonomous AI work reliably at scale. One topic we explored was the hidden "hallucination tax", the financial and operational costs businesses incur when AI systems make mistakes or act on unreliable information. And there's a real challenge here. 📊 Collibra's research found that 76% of surveyed data and AI decision-makers encountered critical roadblocks when moving AI agents from pilots into production. Two critical issues are emerging: 🔹 Context: Do AI agents have access to the right business data, knowledge and policies to make informed decisions? 🔹 Control: Do organizations know what their agents are doing, what information they're accessing and which actions they're allowed to take? I also came across a fascinating example from Helvetia Baloise, which is using an air traffic control approach to oversee its growing portfolio of AI initiatives, supported by Collibra. But I believe there's an even bigger opportunity here. Most organizations are still focused on adding AI agents to existing business processes. What happens when we fundamentally rethink those processes around the capabilities of autonomous AI? That's where I believe some of the most significant business opportunities will emerge. However, achieving this requires trustworthy data, effective governance and a willingness to rethink how organizations operate. In this article, I explore the challenges of scaling autonomous AI, what we can learn from businesses already tackling them, and what leaders should be doing differently. linkedin.com/pulse/ai-agent-… 💬 Here's a question for business leaders: If your organization deployed 100 autonomous AI agents tomorrow, would you know exactly what each one was doing and what decisions it was making? Energy security becomes most visible when the system is under pressure. That is what makes Asia’s energy landscape so important right now. Across the region, demand is not just growing. It is being pulled forward by industrial expansion, urbanization, electrification, AI data centers, and the rising energy needs of households and businesses. At the same time, global supply routes remain exposed to disruption, geopolitical tension, price volatility, and infrastructure constraints. This is why Asia is no longer only a demand center in the global energy system. It is becoming one of the places where the future of energy security will be tested, financed, and shaped. For countries across the region, the challenge is not simply securing more supply. It is building a more resilient energy mix that can support growth, protect consumers, strengthen industrial competitiveness, and reduce exposure to future shocks. That means LNG and natural gas remain central to the conversation. But it also means investing in stronger grids, flexible infrastructure, storage, smarter networks, digital systems, lower-carbon technologies, and deeper partnerships across producers, buyers, policymakers, and investors. This is where Gastech 2026 in Bangkok becomes especially relevant. The event comes at a time when Asia’s energy decisions will have global consequences, influencing supply flows, investment priorities, infrastructure development, and the pace of energy transformation. For me, the most important conversation is not whether demand will rise. It is how the region can meet that demand while building systems that are reliable, affordable, resilient, and prepared for the next disruption. That is why Bangkok feels like the right place for this discussion. Asia is not just participating in the future of energy. It is helping define it. ________________________________________________ @GastechEvent #Gastech 🔗 Download the Strategic Conference brochure: ow.ly/iERV50YYPxh Gastech, taking place in Bangkok, Thailand from 14-17 September, is the world’s largest conference and exhibition for natural gas, LNG, low carbon solutions, electrification and AI. #Gastech2026 Partner #NaturalGas #LNG #LowCarbonSolutions #AIforEnergy #Electrification #JapanEnergy #Energy
