Thanking everyone who attended our Christians in Politics (Leeds) gathering at the end of September where we heard @CllrSamFirth interviewed @cllr_dan_cohen re: how his Jewish Faith impacts his politics. See words and reflections along with some snap shot pics. @NormaCKH

Nehemiah's example is so helpful as we think about restoring our broken cities, boroughs and towns. What can you relate to in this example for your place?

The Lib Dems are hosting conference fringe events about the threat Christians supposedly pose to other people’s rights. Meanwhile, they’ve admitted in court to unlawfully discriminating against @DavidCampanale over his Christian beliefs. The call is coming from inside the house

I've written for @Theosthinktank on community spaces, high streets & why Andy Burnham is right about betting shops and in the process, educated my whole team on what a potbank is. Next up: oatcakes. theosthinktank.co.uk/comment…

It's fascinating and encouraging to watch the media get to grips with talking about faith thanks to the new PM - a pleasure to be quoted in this Guardian piece: theguardian.com/politics/202…

Look at the cross-party civility, @David_Cameron urging his colleagues to get to their feet. This is what makes British democracy so fine: we must treasure & defend it.

Being a dad is my greatest joy. Today, I’m thinking about my dad, and the father I am to my children because of him. Happy Father’s Day.

I am appalled at the politically motivated prosecution and sentence handed down to Jimmy Lai in Hong Kong, following his National Security trial. This is an affront to freedom of speech and to China’s commitments made under the Sino-British Joint Declaration. I join the UK Government in calling on Hong Kong’s authorities to release Jimmy Lai and end his ordeal. China must know that the world is watching - we stand with Jimmy Lai and the people of Hong Kong.

Really positive to be at 'A City Summit for Change', looking at what we can all do support people who are homeless and/or rough sleeping. #WorldHomelessDay Great to have so many partners across the City, the Council, Health and third sector. – at Leeds, England

'A Church that sets no limits to love, that knows no enemies to fight but only men and women to love, is the Church that the world needs today.' - Dilexit Te pulls no punches on how this love, esp. extended to the poor and migrants, is the heart of the faith 🔥

Whenever Christianity is co-opted to support violence, misogyny or racism it loses its very soul. Here’s the letter I & a group of friends wrote over the last few days, was signed by senior church leaders across denominations & published by The Sunday Times & Sunday Mirror today.
