Core DAO (@Coredao_Org, $CORE) said today that initial contributors Rich Rines (@richrines) and Brendon Sedo (@BrendonSedo) are stepping down from their roles in the DAO. Core's community will take on more ecosystem-building, growth work, and decisions about where the Bitcoin-focused chain goes next.
The move follows the DAO handing block production to independent validators, a switch the network has made with zero downtime so far. More independent operators and community-led projects are set to follow in the coming months.
