It seems almost impossible that this could happen now. The politics of personality have crept in over the politics of policy and there’s an absence of mutual respect even when people disagree.
#OTD 2007. Tony Blair ends decade as PM in last PMQs - to a standing ovation on both sides of the House “Some may belittle politics but we know it is where people stand tall. I know it has its many harsh contentions, it is still the arena which sets the heart beating fast”

Ditching Differentiation? "It’s fair to say that the term ‘differentiation’ has had its day in education (or at least in England). At one point, it was considered to be an integral element of lesson planning, design and delivery to ensure all learners were involved and could succeed. Adaptive teaching has gained interest and attention within the profession, but with some teachers understandably asking: is this the new differentiation? Is adaptive teaching simply a new label for an old approach?" Blog by @KateJones_teach hubs.la/Q0438BVb0

Spending time in the natural world provides a sense of balance and belonging. For young people, access to nature is so important for helping to build confidence, self-belief, life skills, and a sense of perspective. That is why organisations like @scouts are so important. #SkillsForLife 🎥 Watch the full film on YouTube: youtu.be/vEzwz_KisAU

As Scouts, we bring young people together to celebrate our differences and recognise that we all have more in common than what divides us. Scouts chose hope, not hate. Violence and thuggery has no place in our society.
I have been horrified at the unrest and violence taking place across towns and cities. As a Scout, we bring people and communities together. We choose hope not hate. Yousif Eltom, UK Lead Volunteer for Growth & Race Equity, & I have written this blog: scouts.org.uk/news/2024/augu…
