It’s #FridayReads time! Let’s share books and boost all signals. Repost this and let us know what to repost for you. I bring you the perfect spooky season read: monstrous babies, bloodthirsty deities, ghosts, magic, and creatures from beyond the reef!

Like Creature Features? Watch these Shows! This is going to be a little different, honestly. There aren’t nearly as many shows when it comes to standard CFs, but I think I have a decent group of shows to share. Keep in mind some may be a little out there

Turns out I forgot the anniversary of my own collection, Tales From Cemetery, so no wonder no one else is talking about it 🤣
Anyway, 10/7 was its one year anniversary. 10 shorts and a bonus novelette. Perfect for Spooky Season and Halloween

1 day to go before the release of Suffer Their Going from @silverthistleps!
Eleanor's husband loved toy soldiers. When Eleanor finds his favorite figure - Napoleon - in strange places around the house, she thinks it's Henry trying to communicate with her from beyond the grave.

Really enjoyed this but I’m super conflicted on the finale. It just seems to be messing with some pieces that actually go against what takes place in the original. Why are we seeing P2 stuff now?
Great kills and lore, but it could have used some grit to sell the ‘80s for me.

@SagaPressBooks
I unfortunately did the thing where I said yes to way too many arcs, all of which ended up being October releases, and so I am now realizing that I have had just zero Halloween TBR time.

Perfect for fans of Rebecca (I’d imagine!), middle grade, horror, and cats! All ages can find something to enjoy here. A spooky retelling that teaches different ways people grieve. @Scholastic

Dudes and dudesses
This one’s campy as hell
Some good practical effects and makeup in the transformations and kills. Angela gives one hell of a demon dance
I personally was thinking in terms of the Hocus Pocus Halloween party, not a small get together, but sure, this works
Honestly this felt way too long. There is not an ounce of suspense for the first hour. It’s sadly boring.
Could have been way creepier with some decent story editing.
Unfortunately you never make it to the actual Halloween party …
