*RESEARCH OPPORTUNITY FOR SCHOOLS*
We are looking to speak with school staff about the impact of anti-homophobic, biphobic, and transphobic interventions on young people’s mental health.
Get in touch to find out more, and have your say!
The study aims to produce a better understanding of improving LGBTQ+ young people's mental health and wellbeing by making schools more inclusive.
HOW WILL IT HELP
We know that young LGBTQ+ people experience bullying in schools based on their sexuality and gender. We also know that young LGBTQ+ people have far worse mental health than their cis heterosexual counterparts
We want to talk to school staff and pupils to get their opinions on what works best for tackling anti-homophobic/biphobic/transphobic bullying
WHAT ARE WE DOING
We are investigating how anti-homophobic/biphobic/transphobic interventions can impact on the mental health of young people
We have 3 Researchers; Dr Rosie Nelson (@roropanolo), Liam Spencer (@LiamPSpencer) and Emma Geijer-Simpson
WHO ARE WE
We are researchers from @LancasterUni and @UniofNewcastle, funded by @NIHRSPHR
The study is led by Prof McDermott (bit.ly/358doKD)
