Some general Twitch chat etiquette: - If your message gets deleted, don't repost it - If a mod or the broadcaster tells you to stop doing something, STOP. Don't talk back to them. - If you wanna talk about something else but everyone else, including the streamer, are deep into another topic, wait until there is a lull in the current convo. Don't try and force what you want to talk about onto other people! - If your message doesn't get sent because of some sort of Automod, don't ask why what you tried to say isn't allowed. Also don't try and type it out a different way to go around it. - Try not to bring up other creators or their events without the streamer doing it first or if they ask for suggestions. It can hurt confidence in the streamer. - Don't ask for VIP, Mod, for follows or for raids - Even if you love a game and know it well, the streamer may be experiencinf it for the first time! Let them enjoy the journey! Please don't spoil! - Don't mention viewer count or how "alive" or "dead" a chat is. That's never needed unless the streamer wants to mention it themselves. - If you plan to leave a stream for some reason, just go nicely! Especially if you are leaving to go stream yourself. Just kindly say goodbye and that you have other stuff going on or just head out! - NEVER self promo in someone's chat unless they ask directly for you to! Or they ask about your stream or what you do! - Never assume that you DESERVE a shout-out just got raiding. Some people have very different rules on when they want to shout-out or not. - Don't go into someone chat and talk just because they might give you a shout-out. That's just shady behavior. I know a lot of these seem like common sense but I've found that a lot of times it's less common than you'd think! Have fun streaming & chatting! ✨
