"she said his short skirt left his underwear visible. In her description, he was sitting with his legs apart, 'airing his b***s in a miniskirt', flanked by two women in dresses." It's revolting that @UniofOxford has allowed this man to harass & intimidate women.

“The Supreme Court has done its job. Now, Deputy First Minister, do yours”. That was my closing challenge in the Senedd. @WRN has exposed disturbing safeguarding concerns through FOIs into sexual offences in Welsh hospitals and leisure centres. @LGBAllies_Cymru has challenged the interpretation of the law. The @DarlingtonUnion had to fight through an Employment Tribunal to defend their dignity and privacy. Women are doing the investigating. Nurses are doing the litigating. The Supreme Court has done the clarifying. Meanwhile, the Welsh Government still owes us evidence of what has actually changed. The law is not optional. Women’s rights are not negotiable. And ministerial accountability cannot be outsourced to the EHRC. Enough excuses. Show us the implementation 👇

🚨In case you were wondering: the Taliban leaders send their daughters to fancy schools in Qatar and Pakistan. “Just for the record do your two daughters go to school? Head of Taliban Office in Qatar - Of course they do. This sums it all up. For their own daughters nothing is forbidden while for poor girls living in Afghanistan everything is forbidden.💔

Where are all the men (and some women) screaming about the boys Jonathan King was convicted of sexually abusing in the 1980s being liars because it took them years to come forward? Or is it only women who are attacked for that?
"Praise the brave women who came forward". And how about "Jail the women who lied and of whom he was found Not Guilty". Balance media, please, as you write your cheques for interviews.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
A not guilty verdict does not establish that the accuser lied or that the alleged events did not occur; it means only that guilt was not proven beyond reasonable doubt. The poster, Jonathan King, was convicted in 2001 of six sexual offenses against five boys aged 14-15. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonathan_… theguardian.com/uk/2001/nov/21… law.cornell.edu/wex/not_guilty

Canada says no to biological reality full stop. ❌️ No more science allowed. Amy Hamm will be back in court this week for being a nurse who understands biology. Now our labs are under fire for needing to know the biology of people they are testing. The ideological capture is complete.

Bad trans legislation is getting worse. In large part because the idiots in charge have no idea what their own legislation has the potential to do. Men are women in Australia because @JuliaGillard's government and @HonTonyAbbott's opposition didn't interrogate it properly, and consider it's potential for unintended and dangerous consequences. They were told. There were submissions from women's groups and lgb groups warning them. But they only listened to and acted upon the religious interests who objected. They gave the legislative green light for the destruction of women's rights and child safeguarding in a Australia without proper consideration and understanding. And now in the UK, Western Australia, and Tasmaniawe legislators are determined to criminalise parents for any concerns they voice to their own children over their kid's distress about their bodies. Once again, they are being warned of the consequences. But those warnings are being ignored and the legislators are doubling down in their determination to go ahead. The dishonesty, disregard and deliberate sidelining of interested parties is disgraceful from elected representatives. The determination by then to plough ahead and legislate this insane trans ideology and impose its dangerous demands and consequences on all of us is enraging.

Woman of the Day and one of the most celebrated war correspondents of her day Martha Gellhorn, born in OTD in 1908 in St Louis, was nearly a Not-The-WOTD. She persuaded public sector workers to break windows to make a point — well, I am a taxpayer after all — but it was a just cause AND she was the only woman to land at Normandy on D-Day. Martha’s suffragist mother took her eight year old daughter to a rally in St Louis in 1916 where 7,000 women in yellow sashes lined the delegates’ route to the Democratic Party’s National Convention. The number of states in favour of votes for women were represented by those wearing white and the rest by those in grey and black. Martha represented the future woman voter. Guess how many were dressed in white? Seven. She went to France in 1930 to work at the United Press Bureau in Paris as a foreign correspondent but was fired after reporting sexual harassment. I’d say that thankfully after nearly a century later, this kind of thing doesn’t happen any more but you’d know I was being sarky. I could tell you how in 1936 in Key West, Martha met a heavy-drinking womanising author and journalist with a couple of divorces behind him and they travelled to Barcelona to report on the Spanish Civil War, but even though she married him in 1940, his only value is that during this period, she found her niche: war correspondent. “I followed the war wherever I could reach it.” I could also tell you how Martha reported on the rise of the Nazis and how, lacking the official press credentials needed to witness the Normandy landings, she impersonated a stretcher bearer, hid in a hospital ship bathroom till it reached Omaha Beach on 6 June 1944, and waded ashore to collect casualties and assist medical teams. “Everyone was violently busy on that crowded, dangerous shore…We walked with the utmost care between the narrowly placed white tape lines that marked the mine-cleared path, and headed for a tent marked with a red cross…Everyone agreed that the beach was a stinker, and that it would be a great pleasure to get the hell out of here sometime.” But this is about Martha becoming a Federal Emergency Relief Administration investigator in 1934, travelling around the USA to file eyewitness reports about the grim conditions in which people were living. She found a corrupt contractor exploiting relief workers (jobless small farmers and ranchers) on a FERA project in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. He had them shovelling dirt pointlessly from one place to another, then collected the shovels, threw them in the lake, and pocketed a commission on an order for replacements. The workers were left idle and unpaid and had to submit to a humiliating means test for direct relief. It wasn’t the first such instance. Martha was ready to resign in protest but what she didn’t know was that her boss at FERA had been sending her eyewitness reports painstakingly documenting abuses to Eleanor Roosevelt. He urged her to go and speak to the First Lady. This deeply impressive woman invited her to dinner at the White House, told her husband to listen up, and persuaded Martha to keep going. I confess that every time I learn something new about Eleanor Roosevelt and the many, many ways she found to support other women, it just reinforces my deep respect for her. Martha went back to Idaho, bought the men a beer and persuaded a few to break the windows of the local FERA office at night so that Washington would investigate their grievances. The FBI saw the damage as a possible communist uprising and questioned the men, who admitted that she had suggested it. The contractor was arrested for fraud, the men got their tools and work back, but Martha was branded a “dangerous Communist”, recalled to Washington and fired from FERA. She shrugged it off as “an honourable discharge”. When Eleanor Roosevelt learned that Martha had been fired and the FBI were so hostile towards her, she invited her to come and live at the White House till she found her feet. Martha helped Eleanor with her correspondence and the “My Day” column. Martha was one of the first journalists to report from Dachau when it was liberated by American troops in April 1945 and she covered the liberation of Paris, but that was the year her husband tried to block her career. He wanted a stay-at-home wife. She didn’t want to stay at home. After he refused to help her secure a press pass to return to the USA from Germany by plane in 1945, she was left with no choice but to board a ship laden with explosives. It was the last straw. Ask not for whom the bell tolls. It tolled for him. She divorced him that year. After WW2, she covered every major theatre of war for over fifty years: Vietnam, the Arab/Israeli conflict, the American invasion of Panama. The only reason she didn’t report on the Balkan conflict in the 1980s is because she was nearly blind by then. She died in London at the age of 89. To the end, Martha refused to be remembered merely as some bloke’s wife. “I was a writer before I met him, and I have been a writer for 45 years since. Why should I be a footnote to someone else’s life?”

STONEWALL LOGIC - We want to take the heat out of the debate. - How? - By having you arrested.
Stonewall has been given unprecedented access to Downing Street and helped the Labour Government draw up its “chilling” Conversion Practices Bill. The Telegraph has revealed that the controversial charity has been supplying Downing Street with research to justify the proposed law. Under the Bill, parents, therapists and religious leaders could face up to five years in prison for having important conversations with gender-confused children or sharing their faith’s teachings on sex, gender and marriage with their congregations. Stonewall’s head of policy was reportedly invited to a meeting at 10 Downing Street to discuss the proposed law and made recommendations to the MPs scrutinising the Bill. Dennis Kavanagh, director of the Gay Men’s Network and a criminal barrister, said his organisation had not been offered similar meetings. He told The Telegraph: “The level of government access afforded to Stonewall is extraordinary, particularly in view of their extreme position on gender matters and their poor track record in accurately stating the law.” Published in June, the Bill’s impact assessment cited a Stonewall survey to argue that conversion practices were so prevalent that new legislation was needed — even though conversion practices are already illegal. Using girls sports as social therapy for boys. This report confirms it. What every activist interviewed is demanding. #Inappropriate❗️ Finally the people said: ENOUGH! STOP IT! 🛑 I am so glad that voters in Washington State have chosen to let girls play their sports in safety, dignity and fairness. Boys of all identities can play boys’ sports. It’s 💯 inclusive this way.
Seattle (Nov. 5) — Trans and far-left radicals held an emergency protest to rage over Washington state voters overwhelmingly passing a measure that would keep female school sports female. Even though Republicans were defeated at the ballot box across the country, in almost all states where trans radicalism was challenged, voters passed common sense measures—even in very liberal states.
