CMII 2025 has arrived! After tonight's premieres, start the weekend tomorrow with the thought-provoking previews of Anywhere, Anytime and Battlefield. All introduced by Adrian Wootton OBE, Artistic Director of Cinema Made in Italy and including filmmaker Q&As, @bfi @aojwFL_BFC
Cinema Made In Italy 2025 launches tonight with The Time it Takes by Francessca Comencini! While some exclusive screenings are sold out, there is still time to get tickets to la crema of new and award-winning Italian films screening @bfi until Sunday 16 #cinecittà
The weather won’t be quite as glorious next Sunday, so treat yourself to the screening of a newly restored Bread, Love and Dreams by Luigi Comencini. A classic Italian romcom from 1953, starring Gina Lollobrigida and Vittorio De Sica @BFI
Anywhere, Anytime the award-winning debut from @Milad_Tangshir will screen exclusively @BFI on 14 March. This empathetic tale of an undocumented migrant worker in Turin has been compared to The Bicycle Thieves with its ‘Loachian’ and Neorealist approach to filming.
The American Backyard receives a UK premiere on Thursday 13 March @BFI
Pupi Avati directs Rita Tushingham and @filipposcotti in this gothic horror. Scotti will appear in conversation.
