Supporters travelling to Sheffield United tomorrow are advised that, due to roof renovation works on the Bramall Lane Stand, some seats may have limited protection from the weather. ā¹ļø
With yellow weather warnings for rain and wind currently forecasted on Saturday, away supporters are encouraged to prepare appropriately for potentially adverse conditions. āļø

Have to laugh at these lot. One of the most anti Wrexham fanbases about and the first to say where were you when you were shit to Wrexham fans. Yet now theyāre seemingly shit theyāre no where to be seen. For the size of Sheffield their support is terrible and not a patch on #swfc

Joao Pedro and Cole Palmer returning back to Chelsa training today after the international break. Really don't like how 2 lads who are supposed to be idols to the younger generation are going around dressing in balaclavas and looking like thugs as a sense of 'fashion'. Long gone are the days of footballers showing up in suits and looking classy, setting the right idea for the young lads that idolised them.
I'm all for people wearing their own fashion, but balaclavas takes it too far...

Here we throw. An England fan on a group WhatsApp with 200 home-and-away members reports that most of those polled are against the PMās idea of a trial allowing fans to be able to drink alcohol in the stands. āMost donāt want that Boxpark culture of beers being thrown in the air when there is a goal, those few idiots throwing up, or having people shuffle past them every min to go get their pint and come back. The reasons for the ban in the first place (the terrace culture of decades ago) may have gone, but that doesnāt mean that lifting it will all go smoothly.ā

Michael Holding took a caught-and-bowled to dismiss Ian Botham, but pulled his hamstring in the process. Botham then helped carry M. Holding off the field as he walked back to the pavilion himself.
A brilliant reminder of why we love this game.

If King Charles said this to Charles Spencer in September 1997, why did Spencer wait until now to tell anyone?
Spencer has just come out of his third divorce, finalized in December after a bitter fight in which an arbitrator ordered him to indemnify his ex-wife Karen for legal costs her side put at more than £2 million, arising from a privacy claim brought against her by his new partner, the archaeologist Cat Jarman, whom he married in Arizona in May, his fourth wedding.
In July it emerged Spencer had sold 310 acres at Dallington, on the edge of the Althorp estate, to Persimmon Homes for a reported £60 million.
In 2010 he auctioned Ā£21 million of Althorpās heirlooms at Christieās, including a Rubens, in the week of Dianaās birthday.
When Diana asked in 1993 to live in the Garden House at Althorp, Spencer refused. He has since said it was āthe right decision for her,ā though āshe probably couldnāt see it.ā
When she died, Spencer was in Cape Town, in the middle of a divorce from his first wife, Victoria Lockwood, in which her lawyers accused him of adultery with a dozen women. The Irish Times headline in November 1997 was āStar of Westminster Abbey falls shamefully to earth.ā
Many people watching a man with four marriages, two ruinous divorces and a Ā£60 million land deal behind him sell the secrets of his sisterās misery to a tabloid, will conclude that he is doing what a great many others have done since 1997: monetizing Diana.

This!šš½ā¦.. Heās had 29 years to raise this but Iām guessing the moneyās run out and he knows that by publishing sensational lies, it will shift copies of a book that most people wonāt be remotely interestedā¦. #chancer
Imagine being 62 years old and writing a book about a 5 minute argument you had with your dead sisterās ex 29 years ago.
Meanwhile in that 29 years he has been married 3 times, had 3 divorces and ruined his relationship with his 4 adult children.
But apparently the 5 minute argument is what he still focuses on š¤
I wonder why š°š°š°

Wow, Iām not a fan of the guy but ruddy hell, he appears from the outside looking in, to be trying to do the job with one hand tied behind his back
THIS!!!!ā¦.šš½šš½. It drives me nuts. Shouting a players name really loud every time thereās a shot and hoping the ball goes in just as he finishes shouting the players name. Once you hear it you canāt unhear it! @SkyFootball

Thomas Tuchel is currently undergoing the usual post-tournament review for an England head coach with his employers, the FA, as per the excellent @SamWallaceTel. All the talk about squad selection and travel distance from World Cup base are side issues. The review should all be about Konsa for Gordon (72) in the World Cup semi-final in Atlanta.
No disrespect to Konsa, an outstanding defender, but Tuchelās calamitous decision removed Englandās best pacey, attacking outlet who was terrifying Argentinaās defence. Sent an encouraging message to Argentina: weāre going to try to shut up shop (against Messi, good luck). Sent a negative message to England players.
How much will the FA focus on this decision? They are hardly going to give him a hard time. They gave Tuchel a new contract before the World Cup, against all lessons from history (hello Capello; break clause removed in 2010). FA improved Tuchelās contract in length and strength before his ability in crunch moments was properly tested.
FA can herald third place, a best finish since 66, when everyone knows that England wasted their best opportunity since 66 because of Tuchelās second-half caution. Rashford and Toney didnāt come on until England were 2-1 down, Saka stayed on bench. Disastrous.
FA staff met with Tuchel last week. He will discuss matters with the FAās performance advisory board next week. The chair, Jobi McAnuff, is a shrewd judge, obviously knows the game. Ditto Sarina Wiegman. Sir Kevin Sinfield has an elite sporting mindset. The other members, Sir Michael Barber, Manoj Badale, Colonel Lucy Giles and Damian Hughes, are very impressive in their own fields but judging an England manager? They could do with an England fan in there, giving some home truths.
It is not to the FA that Tuchel has to explain himself. It is to the England players, some of whom were bemused at his changes against Argentina, and others were surprised at Tuchelās criticism of their DNA; these are good players, some of them title winners, Champions League winners, wanting England to stay on the front foot as in the first half. Kane, a Tuchel supporter, confirmed recently there will be discussions, reflecting on the summer, during the forthcoming international break.
It is to the England fans that Tuchel also has to explain himself. Fans who spent fortunes to get to games in the US and Mexico. Many of whom supported the team through qualifying, supported them through the lengthening years of hurt. Only to be let down by Tuchelās second-half changes. Tuchel was brought in because his career indicated he was a master of game-management (Chelsea, 2021 CL final etc). He has so many questions to answers.
Anger remains because it was such a self-inflicted wasted opportunity. When will England get this chance again. Kane will be 36 in 2030 and who looks like being his successor at No 9? Nobody anywhere near close to the great man. England would probably still have lost the final against Spain, the best team in the tournament. But it would have been good to have found out. #ENG

He stepped out of the London Stadium at 0-0 last night. After 38 years, a West Ham supporter is calling it quits.
āBorn with Claret & Blue balloons in my crib. First game in '88 against Liverpool. A shift worker since 15, but I've always carved out time for matches. However, tonight against Wolves, I left at 0-0. I'm officially done attending games. Itās not about the footballā itās the lifeless matchday experience. Ā£7.50 for terrible beer, 1.5-hour commutes, and sitting near tourists who canāt tell if itās a cup match or clueless vloggers endlessly rambling into cameras for live streams while real fans just shake their heads.
I defended the London Stadium for a decade against the critics. I accepted the Boleyn was a thing of the past. But tonight, it hit hard: modern football and this stadium are no longer made for folks like us. I adore West Ham; itās etched on my skin, but from now on, Iāll be watching from home. The spirit has left the building. āļøā
Agreed
If Wednesday donāt sort Weaverās contract and make him feel like he has a pathway to the first team, it will be a colossal error. The kid has everything needed to be a top central defender. He looks like a future Wednesday captain. Get it sorted NOW #SWFC

Back in an away end watching Wednesday win football matches. Three wins from four in the league. Itās bordering on enjoyable, which is naturally making some Wednesdayites deeply uncomfortable.
After everything weāve endured, the temptation is to search for the next disaster before itās even happened. But perhaps, just for once, we can breathe, show a little patience and allow something positive to happen.
Steady as we go. WAWAW #SWFC
