Excellent piece by Andrew Curry featuring our own and two other aDNA studies. Together, they make it quite likely that the Goths, who spoke an East Germanic language, indeed migrated from Scandinavia, as claimed in post-classical origin myths.

Some investigative work takes time to give results. 3,5 years after my piece on a big Coldzyme trial was published the journal PLOS One issues an expression of concern regarding the misleading positive conclusions of the negative trial.

A bit embarassing for Cochrane. In this press release about their new analysis of anti-amyloid Alzheimer drugs showing no clinically meaningful effect, the dont mention that 7 of 9 drugs are not approved (because of no effect).
