Councils are responsible for the services we all depend on and pay council tax for including collecting our bins, housing families in an emergency, caring for older / disabled people, protecting vulnerable children, maintaining roads, and running libraries and parks etc.
Labour is willing to destabilise all of this because the Greens have taken a stand on Israel and the genocide in Gaza. A party that puts a foreign state ahead of its own tax paying citizens especially during periods of economic distress shows exactly why this issue concerns all of us, and why we must continue to challenge it.
