Today in 1972, “Rocky Mountain High” was released and soon became a chart-topping hit and a staple for our state.
This summer I marked the song’s 50th anniversary by renaming the Mountain Lion Trail in Golden Gate Canyon State Park the Rocky Mountain High Trail.
