#MITA2026 | @CORAFNews extends its gratitude to the Government of Sierra Leone, its partners, researchers, innovators, and participants for making this 6th edition a success.
#MERCI au Gouvernement de la Sierra Leone, à nos partenaires et à tous les participants !
@CORAFNews sincerely thanks Sierra Leone’s Vice President, Dr. Mohamed J. Jalloh, for his remarks at #MITA2026 and his call for stronger regional cooperation, resilient infrastructure & food security.
These priorities are essential to advancing agricultural innovation.
Today, I had the pleasure of addressing the 6th Market for Agricultural Innovations and Technologies (MITA 2026), hosted in Freetown.
I used the opportunity to reiterate the call for CORAF member countries to build resilient infrastructure anchored in energy and food security to strengthen our capacity to withstand global shocks that disproportionately affect small economies.
I also emphasised the need to strengthen regional cooperation and expand intra-regional trade. Our region has the potential. We must now work together to turn that potential into shared prosperity.
