🌍💉 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗼 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 | 𝗧𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗼-𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 On October 24, CORE Group joins the global health community in recognizing the progress made toward 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗼 𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 and reaffirming its commitment to protecting every child from this preventable disease. According to the @WHO, wild #poliovirus cases have declined by more than 𝟵𝟵% 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝟭𝟵𝟴𝟴, yet the disease remains endemic in two countries: #Afghanistan and #Pakistan. For more than two decades, CORE Group has contributed to 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗼 𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 efforts through the 𝗖𝗢𝗥𝗘 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 (𝗖𝗚𝗣𝗣). 🌍 This week, CORE Group hosted a learning convening in #Malawi, bringing together grantees from #Malawi, #Kenya, and #Ethiopia under the 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 (𝗦𝗚𝗦𝗜) 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁, funded by 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗲𝘁 𝗔. 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗲𝘀. The convening created space for grantees to exchange experiences, share lessons learned, and explore strategies for strengthening the sustainability and impact of their community-based initiatives.
