CIJA Calls on Government of Canada to Hold Palestinian Leaders Accountable for Broken Statehood Commitments
“Canada's joint statement implies that the Palestinian Authority (PA) has broken an explicit commitment on which recognition of Palestinian statehood was predicated: holding elections in 2026 in which Hamas would have no role. Yet the Canadian government offers no indication of what consequences the PA will face, while suggesting that Israel is somehow to blame for a decision made by the PA in cooperation with Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, both listed by Canada as terrorist entities.
“While the Canadian government pursues punitive measures and sanctions against Israel, it must demonstrate that the Palestinians will also be held accountable for failing to honour their commitments and undermining the prospects for peace.
"Otherwise, the government risks a dangerous double standard that has implications for both the region and for the safety of Canadians as security experts warn that criticism of Israel has been exploited to fuel antisemitism, violence and even acts of terror.”

Stop calling the people in Iran protestors and start calling them revolutionaries.
Words matter, protests are supposed to be peaceful, and I hope what’s going on over there is anything but peaceful.
They have my full support for a bloody fucking revolution. Thats how America was created, and it can be the same for them.
They need to believe that, so stop calling them protestors.
I was in Vancouver visiting family late last week. Surprisingly, more interest being exhibited in making aliyah. I think the reality of what is happening and what is yet to come is starting to sink in. Same in Calgary. It's sad that it has come to this. I had always hoped aliyah would be an act of hope and faith rather than one of refuge

My humble prediction:
Antisemitism in America will spiral out of control as the elections draw near. On one side, the progressive woke left aligned with Islamist supporters; on the other, the separatist far right - both will drive an unprecedented smear campaign against Israel. As a result, Jews in America will immigrate to Israel in numbers we have not seen in modern times.

Jewish Canadian machers need to start funding Canadian Jewish families wishing to leave Canada. Most Jewish families can't afford the costs of transitioning from Canadian to Israeli life even with the benefits accorded olim. Federations, BB et al need to start getting real about how to help Canadian Jews leave.

In Montreal today, a Jewish man was violently assaulted in front of his children. Cars continued to drive by, people filmed it, and the police reportedly took an hour to show up.
Canada has become one of the most hostile countries in the Western world for Jews.
