1/3: After a little investigation and talks with other Storm Chasers (including @LaneFatherreeWX who reported that there was a Tornado on the ground) I can finally say I have seen a Tornado now in person. Me and @Meso1Gabe were on this storm north of Springfield, IL on June 17th.
Brief Funnel Cloud if not a possible Tornado near Springfield Illinois yesterday. Me and @Meso1Gabe were both on this storm so give credit to me and him. @NWSLincolnIL @jacobdickeywx @KevinLighty @wxSBohnhoff @NickPatrickWX @MattBednarWX @DarrenLeedsWx #ilwx

Scattered light showers possible for trick-or-treating, but the chances appear low at first, then increasing deeper into the evening. We'll get some hi-res data on this soon this week to pinpoint it for you #FirstAlert4

Sources: The #Bears have had interest in trading for defensive help, including interest in DeForest Buckner, who wanted to be back in San Francisco.
Chicago is still scouring the defensive market and they’ve been linked to Khalil Mack by rival teams.

Reunion! The Colts are trading three-time Pro Bowl DL DeForest Buckner to the 49ers for a 2027 fourth-round pick, sources tell @ringer @netflixsports.
Buckner came to San Francisco as the No. 7 overall pick in the 2016. A decade later, he’s back.

Trade: Colts are sending three-time Pro-Bowl DT DeForest Buckner back to the 49ers, the team that made him a 2016 first-round pick before dealing him to Indianapolis in 2020, per me and @rapsheet. Now Buckner returns to San Francisco, fortifying the 49ers defensive line.

Tammie Balsamo-Giles in Semmes, Alabama captured a "moon dog" in the cirrus clouds this eve, around 7:35pm. It's also known as a parasalene. Her iPhone automatically brightened the picture, to make it seem like a daytime picture of a "sun dog" (parhelion). – at Semmes, AL

Coaching news: Cubs hitting coach John Mallee has withdrawn from consideration for a job with the Mets, per a source. He's staying in Chicago.

Temps look mild for Halloween, but lots of clouds and a rain chance. Rain is not a lock, timing may shift later but know that we could see some light showers

I’m very excited to announce I am donating $10,000 to the National Storm Chaser Summit to help bring life-saving storm shelters to communities that need them most!
One thing that has always stuck with me is knowing that some families simply don’t have a safe place to go when a tornado strikes.
I want to do my part to help change that.
We can’t stop tornadoes, but if we can help give more families a safe place to go, that’s what matters most.
I’m thankful to be able to give back and hopefully make a difference when it matters most!

The @NFLonPrime continued its record-setting season, as the @ChicagoBears victory over the @Patriots on Thursday night delivered the second most-watched game in TNF on Prime history!

Prime Video’s Patriots-Bears game averaged 19.86 million viewers. That's the second most-watched TNF on Prime game ever behind last season's Christmas night game between the Broncos and Chiefs (21.1M)
Prime says Thursday's game is the most-watched Week 7 game on record across the history of the Thursday Night Football package, beating the previous mark set in 2015 by +16%.
Big number.
