Grateful to Speaker @JPenaMelnyk for appointing me to @CSG_East Council on Communities of Color!
Excited to join leaders from across the region to share ideas, advance policies that strengthen our communities, & ensure that our neighbors voices remain at the center of our work.
CSG East joins countless others in mourning the passing of Rep. Kevin Ryan. Kevin represented the best of CSG East, displaying not just an unyielding work ethic but also the warmth and wit that made newcomers to state gov't feel welcome at every turn.

What an incredible four days in Providence!
Thanks again to our hosts in Rhode Island — especially 2025 co-chairs Speaker @JoeShekarchi and Senate President @Val_Lawson, the host committee, and Rhode Island staff — for putting on a productive regional policy forum.

State legislators across the US are trying hard to fix the housing shortage. @CSG_East had some great wonky conversations about how we can make it easier to build homes of all shapes and sizes in every community. (Even places with Town Meetings, ahem.)
Packed house for @jenny_schuetz keynote at @CSG_East Annual Meeting in Providence on housing policy! @Arnold_Ventures
Great tours yesterday, especially the housing tour around Providence. Thanks again to our friends at EOH!
👇 Photo recap from @RIEOHousing below 👇

We don't always get releases citing King Charles II, but we like to share when we do:
"Rep. Joseph M. McNamara is calling on Gov. Dan McKee to establish free trade zones in Rhode Island under powers granted to the governor by King Charles II in Rhode Island’s Royal Charter."

No, Connecticut doesn't have a new governor. It's just the usual hospitality from @GovNedLamont, Reps. Kevin Ryan and Bob Godfrey, and the rest of our friends in The Constitution State. Thanks again for two great days of meetings!

Great things happen on our annual meeting off-site tours!
Thanks to Maryland and the City of Baltimore for hosting some exceptional policy tours today focusing on health, housing, education, and workforce development.
I am so impressed with Baltimore Healthy Start program! Established in 1991. One of the original 15 Healthy Start projects. The only federally funded program of its kind in Maryland. They work in communities with rates of infant mortality at least 1 1/2 times the U.S. national average. @BlackCaucusMD @MDLatinoCaucus
