We have a fabulous selection of new books every month! This week we have some thrillers to suit every every taste - Hitchcock-style, darkly intense, suspenseful, legal, historical or explosive. We also have a heart-warming and wise tale - Clare Blading’s first adult fiction.

Iceland have a charming tradition called Jólabókaflóð or “The Christmas book flood”. Books are gifted on Christmas Eve, then they spend the night in bed reading & drinking hot chocolate. Sounds perfect! We are open from 10am -1pm today for any last minute book related needs!

In this installation photograph of an artwork work by Simon Brewster, two miniature fallen angels sit on a Swan Vestas matchbox with their arms folded. A third angel, nearest the camera, rests against the matchbox with one hand in his pocket. The airfix grey of the model angels are a striking contrast against the colourful matchbox, which evokes the flames of hell.
