This game's a little different to any of my recent reviews! @dinomoregames brings us Lifespan.exe - a text/ASCII-based life sim that mixes choice with fate and come what may. EG. In one run I became a wealthy professional, devoted to my wife who later cheated and left me anyway.

Sure, Meat and Flowers could benefit from more polish and an upgrade to its UI but this is the first horror game to interest me in a while. The setting, story & writing were surprisingly good and the platform elements added much needed interactivity to the genre. Worth a look.

I spent almost three years making a game where you start as a broke musician, form a band, write songs, survive on instant noodles, and try to become a rock legend. Legends of Rock is finally coming out in two weeks! Any journalists, reviewers or creators keen to check it out?

If you've got kids, Monsters, Inn Order is a neat game you can play with them (they'll eventually come asking for help!). Lots of cute characters & dialogue. Starts simple (don't place last, must be next to x), but additional layering each level adds complexity.

This is possibly the most incredible email I've ever received. An AI agent contacted me with a "collaboration opportunity" that involves me - the human - paying for a product, doing the work, and then crediting them.

Sorry for the long read but I have a few points I want to make.... Been a hectic week for game reviewing. Each line in this table is a game I've agreed to review - all received this week and does not include games that didn't interest me / not fit for my audience / clearly not ready, or the swathe of demos I've been asked to review (as I don't review demos). But what does it all mean? Orange - "maybe" games. They're a negative from me for now but I think the game could be redeemable with more time in development and I could be persuaded to have another look down the track. If you're in this category, I probably sent you feedback. Red - these games were of poor quality. Either way too early in development, but just recently I've been receiving an abundance of games involving AI generation. I'm actually not against AI use per se, and gave them a fair shot, but there was a clear pattern that most AI games were of substantially lower quality than their human-made counterparts. AI Devs: AI is a legitimate tool for development but in 2026 there's still no replacement for a skilled human in terms of writing, art, or creativity. Ensure your game is innovative and up to standard, or else you're just muddying the water and making it even harder for genuine indie devs to get noticed. Human Devs: Don't send your game out until it's ready for review. EA is okay but if you're still playtesting, don't sabotage yourself by sending your game to reviewers too early. Yellow - games I'm "yet" to review (some I have reviewed but the game is too early in development and Steam won't allow me to add the reviews). Massive props to all the devs who have been very patient and understanding with me taking my time getting to their games. The Xs: The Xs to the left are my longer-form reviews, which - due to enormous time constraints in my life at present - I normally write for "bigger," especially innovative, or higher quality games. The lack of these in this number of games is telling. So I must reiterate: Please do not send your games to reviewers too early. Be patient and give your game the time in development that it deserves.

Every run becomes a new saga of the fallen god, but you're not the only character in the story: your followers have their own reasons for joining and many have unique effects depending on their background. #wishlistwednesday

What’s next for Lost Pilgrims? 👀 We’re developing a new game set in the Riven Realms (not Vagrus 2)! Meanwhile, Vagrus continues with the new Vagrus Jar, a planned Valley of Sleepers questline, a new supporter pack and more! 👉store.steampowered.com/news/… #rpg #indiegames #dnd

I went into @NivalisNights for the cyberpunk setting and neat graphics but I stayed for the... quipping? It's a big game, with a lot of moving parts. At times clunky and overwhelming but there's just so much to keep going back for. I'm totally hooked and will play to the end.
