Can anyone remember the last time @BBCNews interviewed a Palestinian about their experience of the racism of Zionism? Having spent the last two weeks interviewing elderly Nakba survivors in Jordan, driven off their land in their teens because of their ethnicity and religion, I'd be happy to suggest some astonishingly articulate victims of Israeli racism who would be only too happy to tell their tragic stories of eviction, slaughter and dispossession. It is like reporting on the Civil Rights movement in the US and only interviewing outraged Whites

💢 US strikes Iranian nuclear power plant site, IAEA investigating
The United States struck the construction site of the Darkhovin nuclear power plant in Iran’s southwestern Khuzestan province at about 3:39 a.m. Sunday, Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization said, calling it an attack on a civilian facility under international safeguards.
The IAEA said it is examining data on the reported strike. “The facility is in the very early stages of construction and contained no nuclear material when last visited by the IAEA,” the agency said, adding it does not believe the attack poses a radiological risk. Director General Rafael Grossi renewed his call for military restraint near all nuclear sites.
Iran’s atomic agency called on Grossi to “move beyond silence and inaction” and condemn the strike, citing IAEA resolutions declaring attacks on peaceful nuclear facilities contrary to international law. Construction on the plant, on the Karun River about 45 miles south of Ahvaz, began in 2022.

BREAKING: The US has directly struck the Dar Khweyn nuclear power plant construction site in southwestern Iran with multiple projectiles a few hours ago, per Tasnim.
This is the first direct US strike on an Iranian nuclear power plant, with Dar Khweyn being Iran's only commercial nuclear power reactor indigenously designed and built purely by Iran.
This also triggers Iran's IRGC and Yemen‘s warnings from yesterday and earlier this week that any further US strikes on Iranian civilian and power infrastructure would trigger Iran's comprehensive regional infrastructure destruction and Houthi Bab el-Mandeb closure.
