AI and Gambling marketing seem to share this vibe that everyone knows the product is low-quality and generally bad for the everyday person but this is making money for upper level people somewhere so we all have to tolerate this exploitative market phenomenon lol
I turn 36 tomorrow. For better or worse my entire birthday celebration consists of watching today’s game. Do it for me, boys 🥲🥲🙏🙌
Beach renourishment continues to be an absolutely insane thing to do. Throwing tax money into the sea to save buildings exclusively for rich ppl they should've never been allowed to build
SEVERE BEACH EROSION IN FLORIDA 🌊
New pictures coming in showing the extent of what days of historic high tides, large waves and coastal flooding have done to Florida's East Coast.
The significant beach erosion has left exposed seawalls, damaged dunes and steep sand cliffs, reaching up to 14 feet high at one location in Brevard County. New Smyrna Beach completed a roughly $25 million sand project in May, while Palm Beach’s Midtown nourishment added nearly 600,000 cubic yards of sand under a contract worth more than $20 million...both areas that saw severe beach erosion.
At the end of the day, Mother Nature always wins.
A smoking balcony is the pinnacle of existence. Smoking when you live on the ground floor? Lame, basic. Smoking with others is fine But smoking alone on a balcony? YOUR balcony? Iconic, mysterious, aloof, inspired, profound, intriguing, pensieve. Surveying ur realm like Batman
They brought Angie Nixon to the place Angie Nixon sent me to work in 2018 because it hadn't had a dedicated organizer from either party in living memory. Like they taught Angie something with this little tour smh. OK. She knew but I guess it helped make this little internet video
King Tide persists down here in Monroe county. A lot of confused fish in driveways and parking lots. A considerable percentage of properties have been flooded at some point in the past week. I could fill a book with long-term theses on property values from agents and locals
We have bailed out banks, automobiles, planes. Sure, those things seem foundational, so we accept that someone smarter than us decided it was necessary. But AI? We are supposed to PAY for the massive social experiment unleashed nonconsenually on everyone that no one really needs?
charge customers so they can sustain their operation like every other business. Where would this money go? To keep providing free AI assistants in every single browser tab of every device to every single person who never asked for them? Why would we need to pay for that?
