Know the difference! 🔎
The same logic applies to ALL watches and warnings, whether it is for tornados or thunderstorms.
#CTWX #WatchVsWarning #Thunderstom
Do you know the difference between a tornado watch and warning?
WATCH = Be prepared.
WARNING = Take action.
Stay safe and learn more below 🔽
ALT 1. A Tornado Watch mean be prepared. A Tornado Watch is issued when a tornado is possible. Know your safe place, such as a storm shelter, basement, or interior hall away from windows, and be prepared to act if a Warning is issued. 2. A Tornado Warning means take action! A Tornado Warning is issued when a tornado is happening or about to happen. Immediately seek shelter in your safe place!

A Tornado Warning is in effect. That means either a tornado is on the ground or could form at any moment. If you are within the warned area, head into the basement or the lowest level of your home away from windows and doors.
