Jason Cundy and Jamie O’Hara have been tearing it up on TalkSport lately, and clips of them keep going viral. But one clash I hadn’t seen before is Cundy and Piers Morgan going at it on @GMB over women commentators and it got personal!
Cundy said he prefers male commentators because women’s voices are too high-pitched, and that becomes unbearable when things get excited and dramatic. He was crystal clear it has nothing to do with their insight, knowledge, or ability to do the job, it’s just the voice.
Piers took issue with that and told Cundy the only thing that matters is whether they know what they’re talking about, then branded him a “sexist pig” for daring to say they have “too pitchy voices”. He even took a swipe at Jason’s own voice, calling it annoying! 😂
Plenty of people agree with Cundy on this, and it doesn’t make them sexist. Piers was clearly having a bit of fun and the exchange was light-hearted and slightly tongue-in-cheek, but you should still be able to voice an opinion like this without being labelled a sexist pig. This debate will rage on.

We have a serious team problem right now, not a one-man problem. Pardo doesn't look great up top yet, but I’m not jumping on the bandwagon like people did last year with Woltemade. When the team plays crap, the center forward is the first one to suffer because zero balls get to him and we don't create anything.
The entire team is playing poorly across the board. The center-backs were struggling, and Botman should’ve been subbed out. I hoped Jaissle was going to make a real statement at halftime, but he was too stubborn.
We need to learn, and learn quickly, because there is no time to waste. Newcastle United MUST finish in European spots again this season, plain and simple.

This is a tricky situation for Newcastle, and I note the reaction wondering why the £15m offer has not been accepted, especially with Jacob Murphy (at 31) in the final year of his contract
Matthias Jaissle has very quickly come to appreciate the value of Murphy in a young dressing-room. Senior pros are needed & he's a big influence (and still a good player)
So when a new manager communicates the value of a player (beyond a balance sheet) what is the board to do?
I think it would be risky to sell Murphy against Jaissle's wishes at this stage. As I said, a tricky situation
