1 in 10 school-going students in Pakistan already use tobacco. A bigger pack warning is one of the simplest ways to change that number. #GHW #tobaccoff #ProtectOurChildren #nosmoking
Tobacco companies should not be able to exploit gaps in the rules while people wait for stronger health protections.
Bangladesh has strengthened its tobacco control law, but clear rules are needed to put it into practice. As the Dhaka Tribune argues, those rules must address emerging nicotine products.
Authorities must now put comprehensive, enforceable rules in place without delay and follow through with consistent enforcement. The measure of success will be whether the law reduces tobacco exposure and the harm it causes.
