Crews continue their work on the bridge as officers direct traffic throughout the city. I95 remains closed in both directions and we are still experiencing heavy congestion in Norwalk. Commercial vehicles should use I-84 as an alternate route through CT.

Emergency Services are working to extinguish a petroleum truck on fire on I95, underneath the Fairfield Ave overpass in Norwalk. I95 is closed in the area. This will impact local roads throughout Norwalk for an extended period of time and will create heavy traffic delays. (1/2)

#CTTraffic Motorists are urged to avoid non-essential travel in the Norwalk area. Commercial vehicle operators are asked to monitor vehicle weight and height restrictions while navigating alternate routes. Commercial vehicles remain prohibited from traveling on CT Parkways.
Emergency crews continue to work the scene of the tanker fire on I95. Our officers are working to reroute traffic throughout the city. We remind everyone to seek alternate routes and give yourself extra time to travel.
