Drive Safe in the Rain
With rain in the forecast, take extra care on wet roads. Rain reduces visibility and makes roads slick, increasing the risk of collisions.
Here are some tips to stay safe:
• Slow down – wet pavement takes longer to stop on.
• Turn on headlights – see and be seen.
• Increase following distance – give yourself extra space to brake.
• Avoid sudden moves – brake, turn, and accelerate gently.
• Never use cruise control in the rain.

If You’re Lost, Stop Moving
One of the most important things you can do if you become lost in the wilderness is simple: stop moving.
Searching for a moving person is much harder than searching for someone who stays in one location.

Hot weekend ahead. Hiking is questionable in this heat, but for dogs the answer is simple: leave them home.
Dogs overheat quickly and hot dirt and rocks can burn their paws. They may also keep going long after they should stop.
Wait for cooler weather
