This year's theme is Planet Vs Plastics. We all know plastic waste is a huge problem worldwide. Highlighting it with every environmental commemoration day is necessary to create awareness for every one of us to play a role in reducing the impact of plastic waste.
The photo used in our poster is one of the garbage patches in the ocean that is predominantly composed of plastic waste.
If you do one thing today or this week, ask yourself 2 things:
Where does my waste go?
What can I do to reduce my plastic waste?
How did you celebrate Earth Day? Did you attend a seminar/conference or join a clean-up? Many organizations will still be organising some activities till the end of the month. Join one.

I just read about the Egg Glut in Nigeria over the weekend. Egg glut is a situation where there are more eggs available than the demand. Poultry owners are burying the excess eggs! What a waste. There are lots of economic solutions going around. Here's my take:

Time spent collecting water accounts for billions of dollars in lost economic opportunities. Women spend hours, waiting in long lines or walking to distant sources like rivers and ponds to find it. This is time spent and income not earned. Learn more: bit.ly/390LnGl

8 actions everyone can take to save water every day 👇

About 2 billion people do not have access to clean drinking water. We put ourselves at risk by our actions to pollute water. Putting food waste, oils, medicines and chemicals down the drain pollutes our waters.
And with our activities taking us deeper into nature we are taking our polluting habits straight to our natural aquifers that give us drinking water.
Do something to solve our water crisis. Every individual has a part to play.
