We're leaving X.
X isn't the space for workers' rights.
It's anti-union, anti-worker, and anti-democratic.
We're not backing down—we're just moving to where the fight matters.

On April 28th, we mark #WorkersMemorialDay — a time to remember the dead, fight for the living.
Last year, 34 people died in work-related incidents in Ireland. 9 so far this year. Thousands more injured or made ill.
Let’s honour them by taking action:
· Request safety inspections at all work locations.
· Hold a minute’s silence.
· Share photos of your tributes on social media.
Please use the hashtags #WorkersMemorialDay and #WMD25, and tag @TheHSA, @CIF_Ireland, and @ibec_irl.
Better and safer in a Union
Meet the Communications Workers’ Union Band — Ireland’s last remaining trade union band — as they rehearse, march, and carry on a powerful tradition of music, unity, and workers' pride. A moving tribute to heritage, resilience, and the rhythm of collective spirit.

Honoured to win the Forward Through Collective Bargaining Award at the UNI Europa Conference alongside FSU, SIPTU, and Mandate! 🏆
This award celebrates the ground-breaking @respectatworkie campaign, which put collective bargaining on the political agenda.

Ian McArdle from @CWU on @respectatworkie: “During the last general election workers lobbied their candidates, knocking on doors demanding change. And it works. As a result, the majority of parliamentarians have committed to the pledge in support of collective bargaining.”
The CWU is very proud of Carol Scheffer, newly re-elected president of UNI Europa Women!
