Children who are hungry can't learn, play, grow. It's devastating and it doesn't need to happen. Governments can stop it.
>> Watch till the end…
Hunger is just part of the devastating reality facing 4.2 million UK children growing up in poverty. Help us imagine a better future.

The key points about vaping (E-cigarettes) can be easily summarised.
If you smoke, vaping is much safer; if you don’t smoke, don’t vape; marketing vapes to children is utterly unacceptable.
I expand on these points in the article below.

We are deeply concerned by the experiences of children with mental health needs being placed in general paediatric wards.
Read our full response to the interim report from @hsib_org: rcpch.ac.uk/news-events/news…

ALT Quote by Dr Karen Street. RCPCH Officer for Mental Health: There is an urgent need for greater investment across the children’s mental health system so community support is strengthened, fewer children and young people reach crisis, and to develop more appropriate hospital environments for those who do need hospital care.

I’m going to end #mentalhealthawarenessweek2023 with a section from one of my favourite books, Kind Words for Unkind Days. After #RCN23, I’m feeling burnout and questioning every little action, forgetting that I am still a learner at nursing, conferences and life #StNurse

ALT We don't often allow ourselves that grace and space to be a 'learner' despite the fact that anything we do that's new, different or challenging is a learning experience where we're the beginner who is embarking on a series of slip-ups, falling into place-ness and rinse and repeat. Until we're not.
