As someone with lived experience of #Fibroids it was wonderful (and heartbreaking) to be able to go to the House of Lords last night for the launch of this report highlighting the huge economic cost of ignoring, gaslighting and disbelieving sufferers. 🤞that change happens now.

👩⚕️Investing an extra £1 per woman in England across obstetrics and gynaecology services could boost the economy by £319m.

All packed and ready to move to @EducationSheff on Monday! (Still running the same programmes and supporting the same incredible #LifelongLearning students.)
As an Archaeologist I'm not supposed to be excited about this but... OMG DINOSAURS!!!!!
ALT A dinosaur footprint with a size 9 foot for scale
Found this magnificent (dead) moth stuck to the side of @sheffielduni Diamond building on my lunch break today. Can anyone help with an ID @SheffPeregrines @WildSheffield ? (Apologies for the poor scale, it was a good 50 cm above my head height, so hard to get a good image)
ALT A dead moth next to a lady's hand. I'm 6ft 1, so quite a large hand!
After a lot of hard work with @ShefSNM we are now recruiting to Adult Nursing with Foundation Year. We have spaces available via #Clearing for mature students starting this September #LifelongLearning @foundationyear1 tinyurl.com/2p9vf5rd
Day 1 of #FYNAC24 was my 2nd day back at work after 6 weeks' medical leave. I was a bit apprehensive as I've not seen more than about 4 people at once at that time but it's been absolutely lovely and inspiring (as always)- with top quality merch!

Going to celebrate the result with a little light vacuuming.
ALT Women can start vacuuming 6 weeks after abdominal surgery.
3 weeks post fibroid surgery today. Now I can start doing the ironing and light housework. phew @EverydaySexism
Off work following surgery, which meant that I was in to see our @beaniessheff box being delivered by a former student! Always lovely to bump into @ShefUniDLL alumni.

STUDENTS: REGISTER TO VOTE RIGHT NOW!
The law is as follows.
1. You can register at home AND at your term-time address, if that's more convenient for you.
2. You can CHOOSE on the day where to vote.
3. But you can ONLY legally vote in ONE place on the day.

Frustrating customer service from @assetsure apparently there is no way to insure a friend to borrow my E-bike whilst I can't use it for a few weeks. Can any @CycleSheffield #cycling people advise on how they've done similar?
