$4,000 did its job today. This morning I said a reclaim isn't a hold. Gold spent the rest of the day showing us the hold. Every dip after London opened stayed above $4,000, and spot is sitting near $4,028 as I write, just under Friday's high around $4,034. What I'd watch from here: • A daily close above $4,034: buyers finally have follow-through • Rejection there and a slide back under $4,000: today was just a bounce inside a downtrend • Anything in between: chop, and chop quietly eats accounts Bigger picture: gold is still coming off a 4% losing week.
