Devastating oats:
'As drought conditions bake the upper reaches of the U.S. Plains, American farmers are now expected to harvest their smallest oats crop in records that go back to 1866.'

Whilst things have been going astonishing well for me & I’m still blown away by no recurrence of my #glioblastoma on my #MRI scan last Monday 10 months post diagnosis, it ain’t all plain sailing.
I’ve had a few issues that seem likely to be related to my combination #immunotherapy. This includes abit of mucositis of my upper respiratory tract (inflammation & swelling of the lining of the nasal cavity & connecting sinuses) for a couple of months. It got complicated by an upper respiratory infection and then lower respiratory tract (bilateral #pneumonia on CT scan) a couple of weeks ago. But thanks to fabulous management by an outstanding multidisciplinary team including various specialist experts led by @ProfGLongMIA I could still exercise including participate in @MelanomaAus Melanoma March / run and @tourdecure_aus. I’m feeling so much better now than I did even a few weeks ago. Nevertheless, my blood tests including LFTs, cardiac enzymes & others have gone off abit so my next combination immunotherapy will be delayed. Fingers crossed things settle quickly.
Thanks also to my wife Katie & other family & friends for their special support on this, at times, tough journey. Also thanks to the entire @MelanomaAus team & others at @SydneyLHD & @Sydney_Uni for what they are doing to help me.

🪱Soils vary greatly from one location to another.
🪱 It is very important to understand what kind of soil you are dealing with and what its capabilities are…
🪱 Look at the variation in appearance of soils even just within New Zealand….

The juxtaposition of this flood & the new builds under construction almost perfectly illustrates why the Yimby ‘build, build, build’ fantasy that we can indefinitely build things for humans- & concrete over nature- without consequences is deluded
