ALT I was sooooo excited to be able to do the merch (getting asked to be a guest artist!! woah!!) and spot illustrations for the cookbook - and so eternally grateful for all the extensions! One of my main goals throughout was being consistent within everything I was doing; I wanted to make sure all the spots for berry pavlova felt in place next to each other, the pasteles ones to all match, and I'm glad it all worked out in the end :0 Especially with how the colors turned out!! Like the colors I ended up with for the main pasteles Illustration, which came about from color-blocking and seeing what Stuck. One of my favourite spots I did was the table scene for the pasteles (I just think that they are so scrunkly), but I'm also Incredibly fond or the Plumbeline drawing as well. All in all, it was a really fun process to do, especially after taking a brief break from art. And finally - shoutout to Kiss The Chef Lapin. My magnum opus. You will always be famous ‹3

ALT LANDSCAPE FAUST the singular reason I came on as an artist on calorum cookbook was to do the meatlands Justice. with the meat lands episode lost to time and aso a victim of california's fire hazard codes, there was literally nothing, lore or aesthetic wise about the meatlands that wasn't crumbs from the show or entirely anon. the meatlands itselt is an exonym, so we didn't even know Its real name! it was a blank slate, and i intended on filling it. in the beginning i was brimming with ideas.…. a ruined bone colosseum with one or the twelve great beasts lumbering in the background…. a lantern testival in honor of the ox… I was dead set on making the meatlands a rich and interesting landscape that brennan lee mulligan would weep at, IS the bottom line. but as the deadline approached, my piece was starting to look less and less ideal, composition-wise and concept wise. the more I ooked at it. the more I hated It so i redid all of it on the day of check-in. which was a little crazy of me

ALT PICKLING PRESERVES This was my first experience with the D20 fan community and it was incredibly inspiring. I've worked in 7 different kitchens in my life and watched 100+ hours of D20 so to be able to merge these things was such fun. My recipes were a collection of things I learned in those kitchens and things I experimented with because I was in awe of other chefs-the same holds up here! I'm constantly blown away by the sketches and art and food and kind words I've seen throughout the process of making this book together. Everyone involved is incredibly talented, generous, friendly, and passionate. I'm beyond honored to have my little pickle OC be given life and for my assortment of recipe bits to be a part of something so beautiful and fun. Thanks to the whole Calorum team for making me feel good at something, a part of something, and just plain good. Eat your veggies, folks! Nothing but love, Luciano I was very honored to be invited to this project! It was a great process

ALT Working on this cookbook has been so much fun!! character art, if a bit nerve wracking as l'd not drawn most of the ACOC characters before (though Lapin is definitely a new fave to sketch!). Drawing the dishes was has made the whole process an absolute JOY :D Big props to the zine mods for their insane levels of going for a bright and colourful vibe - and defo feel like organization, incredible amount of support to all the contributors and just all round being amazing to work with! The effort they all put into bringing this together is immense! (Words can't express how great of a crew you've been! Love and admiration x1000 <3)
