Year 5's two nights with Campfire Wild Adventures was enriching, memory-making, challenging and fun-filled! From night hikes and hot chocolate to building forts, making traps and even learning how to gut a fish, the children are now ready to face whatever the wilderness brings!

It was great to spend a day with @psbacc yesterday. Thanks to @StNeotsPrep for hosting the day, and full marks to @FintonHouseSch for your excellent fire lighting and axe skills!

Cultivating a wider set of abilities than those traditionally overvalued in our education system is part of what our schools do. Yesterday was about giving teachers the confidence to teach outside (oh, and mastering an axe and starting a fire).

Thanks for inviting us to your event! A great day and always energising to be around so many schools pushing for high quality learning outside the classroom for their students.

Last night saw the return of our annual OLED Awards at @wylambrewery, which celebrate the many successes that pupils of all ages enjoy in nature: from Duke of Edinburgh challenges and the John Muir Discovery Award, to Climbing Club and Mountain Skills ⛰🛶🎯 (1/2)

The Year 4 camp out ‘under the castle’ has been amazing. Thanks to our team and @CampfireAdv for making such memories for the children. I gather they were all up at 4am singing the banana song!!

Year 3 were introduced to the delights of bushcraft this morning by a team from Campfire Wild Adventures. They had a wild time building their own shelters with careful guidance from the instructors. #confidence #outdoors #challenge #fun

Great start to the @EVOLVEadvice #EdVisitsConf24 with an inspiring talk by mountaineer Rhys Jones who had a dream to climb Everest aged 11, a feat he achieved aged 20! Looking forward to the rest of the day ☺️

And that’s another camp wrapped! We had a superb few days with @StNeotsPrep who joined us at our beautiful estate. The group braved some heavy rain but never let it dampen the spirits!
