What’s it really like having breast cancer? Watch this little video for an insight from people who’ve been there. Oh, and you might just spot me in there!!! Made by @Tickoffcancer @BCCare m.youtube.com/watch?v=bFoHlC… #sharethecare #breastcancerawarenessmonth

Urgently seeking bikini top with removable pads so can insert aquaboob but without that hard plastic bar you get at the edge of the cup that digs into my scar. Any suggestions? Ideally somewhere that will do next day delivery but not essential.

So touched by the little gifts and kind message that came with my knitted knockers from @KnitKnockersUK. Gave my sometimes-tender heart a little lift 💞💞💞

Because everything looks better in a coconut bowl 😁 These two dishes have been the mainstay of my diet during my cancer treatment. The gorgeous bowls were given to me by Vie Gourmet, each one completely unique. You can get them from Amazon, £19.95 for four with a set of spoons.

Is there anyone out there who is doing / has done REALLY strenuous exercise (by which I mean MAX effort / racing) while on herceptin? I'd like to compare notes. #exerciseoncology #breastcancer #HER2 #herceptin #HER2positive

.@whs_cardiff MAGGIE'S COMMUNITY OPEN AFTERNOON 22nd May 4-6pm Come in and find out what we do for people living with cancer, and their family, in south east Wales. Everyone welcome. We're in the grounds of @VelindreCC Velindre Rd CF14 2TQ #cancercare #cancersupport
Wow. I'll admit to a fleeting "Wish I'd eaten ALL the food over Christmas after all" thought when we ruled out DIEP because I didn't have enough fat, but nobody ever suggested I should GAIN weight to make it possible. And no regrets about ultimate decision to be a uniboober.
Heard today of a plastic surgeon that told a slim woman to gain weight so she would have more of a tummy to use to reconstruct her breast.. 😱😱😱😱 this is NOT shared decision making. And weight gain is a risk factor for recurrence #ABSConf19

Guys, anybody got any tips for putting on a super-tight compression sock for lymphoedema? My dad is really struggling every day. They have tried a gadget I found on Amazon but couldn't fit the sock on to it.

Do you know someone who is suffering with cancer and has been denied potentially life saving/extending treatment because it has yet to receive NICE approval, despite success rates? Am writing thoughtful feature for national newspaper. Please do get in touch #journorequest

This time last year I had to miss out on the big race of the year as I was in between surgery and chemo. Yesterday I was there and it was sweet.

If you are going through #cancertreatment as a single person then you are not alone. Let’s face it, a significant proportion of the population is single and it’s not as if #cancer only chooses those with a partner. Have a read of Janet’s #guestblog tickingoffbreastcancer.com/g…

On International Women's Day I'd like to pay tribute to my amazing, all-female medical team. Take a bow, surgeon @IzzyDash1, oncologist Theresa Howe and all the fabulous nurses. Also to my rowing-through-chemo team, @Liz_ORiordan, @HeleneRaynsford and all the women in my squad 🙏

In better news, BIG shout out @VelindreCC who couldn’t have been more helpful in moving my MUGA scan so I can be free this week for my son’s 3-time-cancelled op on his mis-set broken arm. It’s not just the flexibility- it’s the kindness and thoughtfulness. Diolch yn fawr iawn x

Frustrated beyond measure after 3rd day in a row waiting with son at BRI for op to reset his broken arm after it was mis-set 3 weeks ago. The date has been changed 4 times now & am trying to work around my cancer treatment -rushed over on Friday after herceptin injection (TBC)...

Then have to factor in MUGA scan on Tues in Cardiff, which may clash with it. I"m a massive supporter of the NHS and understand the pressure they are under. They are all genuinely trying to do their best, but feel like we are slipping through the cracks & it's damaging my health.

It's just such a shock after the flawless treatment I've had in oncology.
