When the Knesset yesterday, passed the law approving the death penalty for Palestinians ONLY, they popped champagne bottles in the chamber as they applauded. You read that correctly. Not your problem? It’s complicated? STILL SILENT? SILENCE IS COMPLICITY.

If only this Labour government was “doing everything” to end child poverty — instead of bending over backwards for racist football hooligans and the genocidal apartheid state of Israel it sells arms to.

ITV pulling zero punches in this incredible footage - "This landscape of destruction looks otherworldy, but it's not, it's this world - What is happening may come to define one of its darkest eras, one that casts a stain on humanity, which will endure for generations" #Gaza

Mental health services are in crisis. 873,117 under 24-year-olds were in contact with mental health services at the end of May in England - a 10% increase from the previous year. And the highest recorded number since records began in 2016. 377,017 under 18s are still waiting for their first contact with services. They have waited an average of 276 days to be seen, up from 200 days since last year. This needs to be a wake up call for our Government. Young people should not have to wait 250+ days to get the support they need. The Government says cutting waiting times is a priority. We need to see more evidence that applies to mental health services for young people. They should urgently roll out Young Futures Hubs in every local area – including a full mental health offer, where young people can get support on the day, without needing a GP referral or appointment. And they need to start addressing the drivers of poor mental health - like poverty and the education system. We need a Government that has the ambition it promised a year ago, one that knows it needs to work across Government and shows young people that it cares about their future and their mental health.

We're outraged and heartbroken by reports that at least 15 Palestinians, including eight children, have been killed in an Israeli strike. They were queuing for nutritional supplements outside of a clinic. Nowhere is safe in Gaza. Project Hope, an aid group who ran the clinic, say it was "a place of refuge... where people bring their small children, women access pregnancy and postpartum care, people receive treatment for malnutrition". The UK government must stop being complicit in these horrors by suspending all arms transfers to Israel. They must hold the Government of Israel accountable for the harm children have faced, as is demanded by their obligations under international law.

This club told ElNeny to stay silent on Palestine, hounded Ozil for his uyghur comments, sacked our kit man for being pro palestine, and now were willing to extend Partey's contract after allowing him to play all this time. My head is actually gone.

🚨BREAKING: Our new report finds the British Government has lied about its arms exports to Israel. We reveal for the first time the extraordinary scale of UK arms exports to Israel - over 160,000 military goods - and show the Government has been lying, including about the direct supply of parts for F-35 fighter jets, which have played a pivotal role in Israel’s destruction of Gaza. British MPs are calling on Prime Minister Keir Starmer to investigate Foreign Secretary David Lammy for misleading Parliament and the public and for him to resign based on the evidence in report. Only a full arms embargo will ensure that British made arms are not used to enact Netanyahu’s new plans to annex and “destroy” the Gaza Strip and ethnically cleanse Palestinians from our homeland.

Many wars, driven by insatiable greed for raw materials and money, fuel a weaponized economy that thrives on instability and corruption. What a scandal and hypocrisy: people are killed while the commerce that causes this violence and death continues to flourish!

I was at an incredibly moving and upsetting session in the House of Commons today where MPs heard from a group of professionals including doctors, nurses and humanitarian organisers describing their first hand experience of the abhorrent situation in Gaza: Children facing starvation and severe emaciation. Children dying of preventable diseases as a result of a lack of sanitation. Children receiving double amputations without anaesthetics or antibiotics - amputations that could have been avoided altogether if they had access to proper health services. The UK is not only morally but legally obligated to address this situation by first and foremost doing everything it can to bring about an end to the genocide, and to arrange for seriously ill and injured children to be evacuated from Gaza, as happened for Ukrainian children. But sadly only 10 or 11 MPs were in the room to hear the medics' testimonies, and none of us are government ministers. We, those cross-party MPs who understand and are appalled by what is going on in Gaza, we do everything we can. We keep raising these issues, keep asking ministers questions, keep taking the horse to water. But it is up to them to open their eyes to the ethnic cleansing, and to their responsibility to do everything in their power to stop it.
