Big things are happening at our North Operations and Maintenance Facility—our new electric charging infrastructure is making MAJOR progress! This upgrade will include 90 charging ports for our battery electric buses, plus a 267,000 sq. ft solar canopy to help power operations. It’s a key part of our commitment for cleaner, quieter and more sustainable transit across Central Texas. #CapMetro turns 40 this year! 🎂 On Jan. 6, 1985 — T's were crossed, and i's were dotted that laid the foundation of what made us...well, us! To celebrate, we sat down with Alan Wulkan, our first ever Executive Director, who said, "...working with local leaders and neighborhood organizations helped keep the city's future in mind while establishing service."
