Michigan Republican Senate candidate Mike Rogers was pressed by @edokeefe over supporters displaying signs calling his Democratic opponent, Abdul El-Sayed, a terrorist and remarks by Republican Sen. John Kennedy suggesting El-Sayed sleeps in a bin Laden jersey.
“You have to admit that Senator Kennedy is a very humorous guy,” Rogers responded.
“Is he, in your view, a terrorist?” O'Keefe pressed. “Look at the data. It’s pretty clear,” Rogers replied, without specifying which data he was referencing.
El-Sayed has vehemently denied any connections to terrorism and calls the repeated attacks Islamophobic.
