Banning @CNN, @MSNOWNews and @politico from the White House sets a dangerous precedent, one in which the president decides what the American people know and from whom they can know it. CPJ and leading news organizations stand together in defense of a free press, and in condemning any attempts to restrict their ability to report on the government. Will you join us?

Good primer on clipping
As a marketing strategy, clipping is effective because most viewers are unaware that their algorithms are being manipulated by commercial interests.
Clipper accounts do not advertise that they are being paid to produce these videos. Often they will masquerade as fan accounts or just have the names of regular people with AI-generated profile pictures.
This can manufacture fame for online celebrities if they are willing to put enough money into their brand.

That story is true. It is also beside the point.

Keir Starmer has accused Farage of a "desperate stunt" after the Reform leader triggered a by-election today
The PM, who is in Ankara attending the Nato summit, said: "This is a desperate stunt from Nigel Farage and it's obvious why he's doing it - he is up to his neck in sleaze.
"Politics should be about improving the lives of millions of people, not about personal gain, not about hiding dodgy donations, and I think the public will see this for exactly what it is."
