If you still think ethereum:0x467bccd9d29f223bce8043b84e8c8b282827790f is just a remittance token, youβre looking at an old version of @Telcoin.
And I think thatβs why the significance of this upgrade is being underestimated.
18 decimals isnβt the story. TEL3 is the connective tissue for what #Telcoin has spent years building around it.
Look at what exists today:
π¦ A regulated U.S. Digital Asset Bank.
π΅ Real U.S. bank accounts connected directly to on-chain eUSD Digital Cash.
π eUSD operating across #Ethereum, #Base, #Polygon and #Solana.
π A much larger multi-currency Digital Cash vision built for global payments, remittances and foreign exchange.
π± A strategy centered on telecoms and mobile networks β infrastructure that already reaches billions of people.
βοΈ Telcoin Network approaching mainnet, with #TEL designed to become its native gas asset.
π€ And now a modernized TEL built for a world of programmable money, smart wallets, automated payments and increasingly #AI-driven commerce.
That last part deserves more attention.
The next generation of the internet wonβt consist only of people clicking βsend.β
Software will transact. Apps will transact. AI #agents will transact. Devices will transact.
For that world, money needs to be programmable, extremely divisible, inexpensive to move and capable of being authorized without a human manually clicking through every step.
That is exactly the direction TEL3 moves $TEL.
18-decimal precision. Signature-authorized payments. Gasless transaction possibilities. Smart-wallet support. Cleaner cross-chain movement. One consistent TEL address across supported EVM networks. Native integration with the coming Telcoin Network.
Individually, those sound like technical upgrades.
Together, they make considerably more sense when you zoom out.
Telcoin isnβt building a coin and searching for a use case.
It is assembling an entire financial stack:
Bank β #DigitalCash β Wallet β #DeFi/Liquidity β Global Payments β Telecom Distribution β #Blockchain β Programmable/AI Commerce
And $TEL sits increasingly close to the center of that architecture.
Telcoin has even filed IP around combining stablecoin payments with depository functionality β another sign that its ambition goes far beyond being another crypto wallet or another stablecoin issuer.
That is what makes this moment interesting to me.
For years, Telcoin was building pieces that could be difficult for the market to connect.
Now those pieces are starting to converge.
The bank is real.
The bank accounts are live.
Digital Cash is real.
The global distribution strategy is taking shape.
TEL3 is live.
Telcoin Network is next.
And the token itself is finally being rebuilt for the financial system Telcoin has been working toward all along.
The question isnβt what $TEL used to be.
The question is what happens if Telcoin successfully connects all of this into one global financial network.
That is a much bigger story! π
Thereβs a ton of reasons for the ethereum:0x467bccd9d29f223bce8043b84e8c8b282827790f upgradeβ¦
1. 18-decimal precision - TEL goes from 2 decimals to 18, allowing extremely small denominations. Important for micropayments, precise gas fees, DeFi and automated payments.
2. EIP-3009 transferWithAuthorization - Lets a user sign a payment off-chain and have another party submit it. This is especially important for gasless payments, x402-style payments and AI/agentic commerce.
3. EIP-2612 permit -Allows token spending approvals through signatures instead of requiring a separate approve() transaction. Fewer transactions and much better UX for apps and automation.
4. EIP-1271 smart-wallet support -Allows TEL to properly work with smart-contract wallets such as Safe and account-abstraction wallets. Important for AI agents, automated accounts, multisigs and programmable wallets.
5. Better micropayment support -Not just because of 18 decimals. The combination of high precision + EIP-3009 + low-cost Telcoin Network transactions makes TEL much more practical for tiny machine-to-machine payments.
6. Agentic payment compatibility -TEL3βs signature-based payment functionality means software or AI agents can potentially authorize and execute payments without the traditional manual wallet interaction for every transaction.
7. Much better x402 compatibility -x402 commonly uses EIP-3009 for token payments. TEL3 adds that exact functionality. This is separate from the move to 18 decimals.
8. Same TEL contract address across supported EVM chains -TEL3 is designed to use a consistent deterministic address across networks such as Ethereum, Polygon, Base and Telcoin Network. Makes integrations much simpler.
9. Improved cross-chain architecture -TEL3 uses a more modern mint/burn model rather than relying solely on locking tokens on one chain and releasing representations elsewhere.
10. LayerZero OFT compatibility -TEL3βs cross-chain architecture is designed around LayerZeroβs Omnichain Fungible Token framework, allowing TEL to move more cleanly between supported chains.
11. Unified TEL supply across chains -Instead of treating TEL deployments on different networks like loosely connected versions, TEL3 is designed to function as one coordinated omnichain asset.
12. Telcoin Network becomes TELβs canonical home -The new architecture centers TEL supply/accounting around Telcoin Network rather than TEL simply being an Ethereum ERC-20 that happens to be bridged elsewhere.
13. TEL becomes native gas on Telcoin Network -TEL isnβt merely another token on the network. It pays transaction fees and becomes part of the basic economic infrastructure of the chain.
14. Better DeFi compatibility-18 decimals, permit support and standardized modern ERC-20 functionality make TEL easier to use inside AMMs, lending protocols, smart contracts and automated financial applications.
15. Better account-abstraction compatibility -TEL3 is much more suitable for ERC-4337-style smart accounts, where users or agents can have transactions sponsored, bundled or executed according to programmable rules.
16. Gas-sponsored transactions become easier -Because signatures can authorize actions without the TEL holder necessarily submitting the transaction themselves, another entity can potentially pay the network gas.
17. Better machine-to-machine payments - APIs, devices, applications and autonomous software can potentially exchange tiny amounts of TEL with far less human involvement.
18. Cleaner developer integration -Standardized modern Ethereum features such as Permit, EIP-3009, EIP-1271 and a consistent multichain address reduce custom work developers have to build around TEL

ethereum:0x467bccd9d29f223bce8043b84e8c8b282827790f mainnet genesis launch december 2nd.
The only EVM-compatible Layer-1 that's validated by Mobile Network Operators.

Yesterday's 50th @TelcoinTAO Platform & Treasury Council meeting was a big one. We finally got an actual mainnet launch timeline, some encouraging updates on telecom partnerships, major exchanges, and a much clearer picture of what's coming over the next several weeks.
A lot was covered, so here's a recap.
First, MAINNET.
Grant laid out the schedule:
November 16: Targeted code freeze.
December 2: Genesis ceremony and the official start of Telcoin Network with its first 10 validators.
Mid December: Public mainnet access, including bridging, wallet connectivity and public RPC infrastructure.
The two weeks following Genesis will give operators time to finalize configurations, complete bridge transactions with LayerZero and bring the remaining infrastructure online.
Grant said he considers missing December 2 very unlikely, although security and a successful launch remain the priority.
Now, the validators and telecom partnerships.
The initial 10 validator operators are being finalized over the next two weeks. Their applications will then begin appearing on the governance forum, with announcements about the organizations involved expected soon.
Grant sounded particularly confident about the initial group, describing them as strong partners who genuinely want to see the network succeed.
They're intentionally starting with 10 rather than rushing to onboard as many operators as possible. The plan is to establish a stable network first, then accelerate validator onboarding and staking in 2027.
And speaking of telecom operators, there was another pretty significant development.
On November 4, Parker Spann (@P4Cap) and Telcoin's strategic telecom advisor David Palmer (@Metaversebizz) presented Telcoin Network at the Telecom Council's Innovation Review in Palo Alto, California.
This is an industry-only group with members including AT&T, British Telecom, Swisscom and TelefΓ³nica.
Telcoin was one of only a few projects invited to present.
They covered the network's role as a blockchain and token standard for telecommunications, decentralized governance, bank-issued digital currencies, and something particularly interesting: phone-number-based identity and KYC for AI agents.
David has already been working on that identity concept through proof-of-concept and MVP development.
The broader pitch was that telecom operators already operate around shared standards for voice, SMS, data and roaming. Telcoin wants to establish a shared standard for financial settlement as well.
According to Grant, the presentation went extremely well. Parker and David were even given an opportunity to deliver a second presentation to other interested parties who had missed the first.
Because of the event's confidentiality rules, they couldn't disclose who expressed interest or what was discussed privately. No new telecom partnerships were formally announced.
Still, getting Telcoin in front of these industry decision-makers, with mainnet weeks away, is a pretty encouraging development.
There was also some good news regarding exchanges.
Grant (@9rantkee) said discussions with several larger exchanges are in their final stages. He believes the majority have already made it through legal review.
Leo has been coordinating with the protocol team to arrange technical calls with exchange engineers to handle the TEL token migration.
The expectation is that we'll begin seeing official exchange support before the end of 2026.
No exchange names or confirmed dates were provided, but it sounds like progress is being made.
LayerZero and the network infrastructure.
Grant confirmed that bridging is already functional end to end on testnet.
LayerZero and the initial applications will have network access following the December 2 Genesis ceremony, with public bridging and standard EVM wallet access expected by mid December.
They also discussed continued performance testing, security hardening and the network's use of observer nodes to handle read requests while validators focus on consensus and settlement.
One council member mentioned recovering a testnet observer node and getting it synchronized again in roughly 30 seconds.
TELx is preparing for mainnet too.
Two new liquidity pools are proposed for Telcoin Network: TEL/WETH and TEL/eUSD.
The Association is also seeking funding to integrate the network with Merkl, which already handles TELx liquidity mining rewards.
The estimated integration cost is a one-time $20,000, with 9,690,275 TEL requested from Treasury to cover the portion not funded by the existing TELx operational wallet.
The associated proposal would expand TELx to nine pools across Ethereum, Polygon, Base and Telcoin Network, using Uniswap v3 infrastructure on the new chain.
Importantly, the existing 3.5 million TEL weekly liquidity incentive budget would remain unchanged. Rewards would be redistributed across the expanded pool lineup rather than increasing emissions.
Both proposals still require the necessary governance approvals, and rewards would begin after integration and the appropriate campaign transition.
A few other updates:
The new unified telcoin.network website is live, bringing governance, developer resources, the roadmap and TELx together under one home.
The team also reminded holders to complete the TEL3 upgrade, with the existing migration portal remaining available.
And Grant confirmed that a much larger marketing and user acquisition effort is planned for 2027, once the network is publicly operational and developers can start bringing users onto it.
I've followed Telcoin for years, and what stood out to me about this meeting wasn't just getting a launch date. It was hearing how many different pieces are now being coordinated around that launch.
Validators being finalized. Telecom executives hearing the pitch. Exchanges preparing migrations. LayerZero bridge infrastructure being readied. Liquidity pools being planned for the native chain.
There are still announcements to come and plenty of execution ahead, but we're finally getting specific dates and concrete details on how this is all coming together.
December is shaping up to be a pretty important month for $TEL.

One last thing worth mentioning is @Telcoin's Stake & Refer program.
Unlike traditional staking that pays inflationary rewards, Stake & Refer lets you earn a percentage of the actual transaction fees generated by users you refer, potentially up to 42% depending on how much TEL you stake.
As more users join the ecosystem, building a referral network early could create a recurring income stream tied to real network activity. Of course, that depends on the transaction volume your referrals generate.
You'll need a referral code to get started. If you don't have one, feel free to use mine!

Telcoin Network locks in December for its mainnet launch
@telcoin has set out the final steps: a code freeze on November 16, genesis on December 2, and a public launch in mid-December, starting with the first set of validators.
Only mobile phone carriers that belong to the GSMA, the global mobile industry body, will be able to confirm transactions on the chain, staking $TEL and earning network fees in return. The Telcoin Association (@TelcoinTAO) produces and governs the network.

$TEL on 360 Altcoin Radar #8. Last time it broke out of a range like this, it ran 4,000%. POC ~$0.00136. Bear-market support ~$0.001. No altseason yet = no breakout yet. Not saying it repeats. Very long consolidation. Full breakdown in the reply. We will let you know when to be bullish - its coming soon.
