Um. You need to read a history book. That isn’t why. Zionists wanted it prior to the Holocaust. With the earliest migration starting in 1881 and 1882. Theodor Herzl published Der Judenstaat (The Jewish State) in 1896 he argued that establishing a sovereign Jewish State would be a definite solution to end antisemitism.
