“Music was originally discreet, seamless, simple, masculine, and of good morals. Have not the moderns rendered it lascivious beyond measure?” — Jacobus of Liége, ca. 1300
Serious question: what was crazy about the Obama years? I don’t remember that being a particularly crazy time…?
NEW: Speaker Mike Johnson tells @LauraIngraham that polls are “inaccurate” and “grossly underestimating Republican enthusiasm.”
“Keep voting. Shock them.”
“We do not want to go back to crazy.”
“I'm afraid if these Democrats took control of Congress, it would be crazier even than the Obama years
Donald Trump’s boyfriend’s fiefdom is called the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. Not sure if any of that (other than Korea) is really applicable to North Korea.
Makes perfect sense. They’ve already made it clear they’d like to bring eugenics back to the military, why not engineer murderdogs?
What amazes me is, for such a vain, narcissistic person, he really accepts shoddy work. The suits and ties, the hair, the makeup, the godawful coverup attempts of the hand bruising. If he’s so fucking rich and classy, how does he look so awful so much of the time?
What the hell else would that guy say?
You have to wonder what there might be locked deeply away in the deepest darkest corners of Ivanka’s mind.
Trump says @VivekGRamaswamy should KEEP UP the ad featuring @amyactonoh’s mother, who has not cared for her in over 50 years after her stepdad was indicted for raping then 12yo Acton:
There's a new version of this post
There's no way he can name more than two oceans. No fucking way.
Oh man, there’s gonna be some ketchup on the gold tomorrow!
Minnesota congressional candidate Eric Pratt’s campaign appeared to accidentally have clear instructions for its website, which featured the line: “The President is not popular, so all messaging should be focused on local politics and needs.” wapo.st/4yvz7qT
These crybaby fucks. "Backlash is an attack" is exactly what you'd expect from pussies who cry "free speech free speech" after they say something shitty and, hey presto, somebody else calls them on it.
"Vivek Ramaswamy had the audacity to run a TV commercial which calls it out like it is, and calls Amy Acton a liar."
VP JD Vance defends Vivek Ramaswamy as Democrats and the Ohio media focus on his latest campaign ad targeting Acton and her family.
Vance says the backlash is just the latest in a series of attacks against his longtime friend.
"I've watched the Democrats lie about his family," Vance says, adding that he's watched them "throw every dirty trick in the political book at Vivek."

Another Trumpworld grift. “Sell[ing] a million of them” doesn’t “change the thinking”; it makes Peter Navarro richer. If he really wanted to “change the thinking” he’d give them away.
Man, how hideous must somebody be when you think about how hard political ads work to try and make people in them look and sound natural and likable, and then the best these guys could do was produce what looks like a Maude Frickert outtake.
BOMBSHELL:
Ohio Democratic gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton’s own mother urges voters not to vote for her daughter.
“My name is Donna Arthur and I’m Amy Acton’s mother. I worked at Children and Family Service Association, building one of the first two sexual abuse programs in America.
I love my daughter, but when I saw her lying about her opponent—and it’s not easy for a mother to say this—but Amy has a serious problem.
She is a liar. She lies about her past. She says she grew up living in a tent. None of that is true. She’s lied her entire life.
My daughter needs help, and she can’t help you if she needs help herself. People can change, but first they have to tell the truth, and my daughter still isn’t doing that.
Don’t vote for people who lie. Don’t let her become your governor. If you think she’ll make your life better, you’re fooling yourself. It will only get worse.”
That’s one hell of an October surprise.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Acton’s stepfather abused her from age 9 to 12 and was criminally charged, and the family lived in a tent in winter. Her brother confirms they were removed from their mother’s custody. Acton’s stayed married to the stepfather until he died.

Played a craft show gig yesterday and I was barely out of the car before a guy said “hey is that a @Svengoolie t-shirt?” And then of course we talked about the show for ten minutes! It’s the ultimate secret sign.
Of course. Of course, of course, of course. I mean, who is surprised by any of this shit anymore, right? Would you not be more surprised if there was a grift to be had and nobody in Trump World jumped on it? This is our new normal. This is what we chose.
New reporting reveals top Trump advisor Ric Grenell offered a Turkish billionaire access to Trump in exchange for a $6,000,000 donation to the Kennedy Center:
"Once the money comes to the company here, I will arrange the donation to Kennedy Centre [sic], and you'll be joining the VIP events and get close with the administration, even with POTUS."
How ‘generous’.
Elon Musk has said he plans to give every American child one share of his company SpaceX, a pledge that could amount to over $10 billion.

“Russia’s tank production, estimated at 200–290 T-90Ms a year, now appears to be outpacing frontline losses, partly because drones have made tank-heavy assaults less common.”
So then they’re building the wrong weapons. I’m cool with that.
INTERESTING: Satellite imagery shows Russia is refilling its long-term military storage bases with new and refurbished armored vehicles after emptying many of them earlier in the war, according to open-source analysts and Radio Svoboda.
At the 22nd Central Tank Reserve Base in Kostroma, about 500 km from the Baltic states, analysts identified around 57 new T-90M tanks, along with new BTR-82A and BMP-3M vehicles.
Several hundred refurbished tanks and infantry fighting vehicles have also appeared at a base in Altai Krai, and other sites are receiving new artillery systems.
