JOKE-OGRAPHY: In this cartoon, a curious Pharisee asks Jesus what He thinks the first of all God's commandments is. By "first," the Pharisee clearly means "foremost" or "most important," but Jesus jokes and answers with the actual first commandment ever spoken to mankind, which is when God tells the first man, Adam, not to eat of the Tree of Knowledge in the Garden of Eden (i.e. "Don't eat that"). It's funny that God's first recorded commandment to a human is the same thing we have to yell at infants.

Doctors at Gemelli Hospital removed a cancerous tumor from Pope Leo XIV’s right lung, according to the Holy See Press Office. The surgery was successful, with no complications, and the Holy Father has returned to his hospital room. We ask the faithful to continue praying for Pope Leo’s recovery and for the doctors and staff caring for him. We also hold in prayer all who are living with cancer, their families, and those who care for them.

Dear friends, during some recent medical examinations, the doctors found a small, localized nodule in my lung. It was detected at a very early stage and is well-localized. The doctors believe that it is best to intervene, so, following their advice, I have decided to undergo surgery to remove it. The operation is already scheduled to take place in the coming days. I thank you for your spiritual closeness and entrust myself to your prayers.
