1/ Midnight 🤝 @Sig_Network
Privacy just got a new path into Ethereum.
ICYMI: Our partnership with Sig Network brings Midnight’s programmable privacy to Ethereum applications, letting them keep their liquidity on Ethereum while user balances and identities stay shielded on Midnight.
Here’s how it works 👇

Police in India’s most populous state now track criminal evidence on Cardano.
Every scan and lab result is hashed on-chain, live on active cases in Uttar Pradesh.
Our new case study breaks down how @TrivolveTech built it. Check it out: cardanofoundation.org/case-s…

PFMS is not being built for one specific state. ❌
PFMS is being built as an open-source public good for the whole world to adopt, with the first user being an Indian state government. ✅
PFMS will not just bring in millions of transactions and revenue to the ecosystem. PFMS opens doors for multiple other governments to use Cardano, just like how our previous successful project, FMS, has opened doors for PFMS.
PFMS is designed in a modular way, keeping in mind the needs of the
Police systems across government’s worldwide to use it as an evidence layer.
The support of the entire Cardano ecosystem will bring:
- Real world adoption
- New users (governments)
- New money via verification revenue
This will become the biggest government blockchain project ever on Cardano.
Your support matters a lot to us in making this a reality.
Thank you. 🙏

Introducing PFMS: Bringing Government Scale Adoption to Cardano by Trivolve Tech
A Treasury proposal which brings massive scale real world adoption to @Cardano with its first user being an Indian state government. PFMS secures the entire Chain of Evidence on Cardano. The scale of the project is such that once it is deployed, it will become the largest government scale project ever on Cardano.
PFMS will be built as an open source public good for policing and justice systems worldwide.
What PFMS brings to Cardano with just the first deployment:
→ 1.53M + Cardano mainnet transactions in year one and rising every year as adoption grows.
→ Grows the current Cardano mainnet transaction metric by +18.2%.
→ ~5.1M DIDs across 3,500 facilities, 1.81M devices, 113,000 personnel and 3.2M evidence items connected to Cardano.
→ Cuts down case resolution time by 30% using Cardano.
→ Generates revenue through PFMS’s evidence verification service.
→ 70% of verification revenue returned to the Treasury, 20% to core Cardano library maintenance & 10% to Trivolve Tech.
→ Open source core (Apache 2.0) as a public good, designed for reuse across the world.
The ask: ₳9,600,000 over 15 months.
Here’s how we’re doing it 👇🧵

The Nakamoto coefficient is one number. Real decentralization also needs:
- Truly distinct entities, not one operator running 20 pools/validators
- Custodial exchange stake counted as one exchange, not "many holders"
- Hosting diversity, not everyone on AWS/Hetzner/OVH
- ASN and jurisdiction diversity
- Multiple independent node clients actually producing blocks
- Upgrades and hard forks not controlled by one company
- Core development funded from more than one source
- Governance voting power not concentrated in a few wallets
- No admin keys, no protocol-level freezing of funds
- Users able to verify the chain themselves (light clients, affordable full nodes)
- RPC/API/indexer layer not dominated by 1-2 providers
- Diverse wallets, frontends, oracles, bridges and stablecoin issuers
- Low barrier to becoming a block producer
- Stake that can actually move, not sticky by default
- The whole distribution (HHI, Gini), not just the threshold
Decentralization = the minimum cut across ALL layers, not the best one.
Let's do a Decentralization scorecard, 10 criteria (met = 1, partial = 0.5)
Polkadot: 6.5/10
- Consensus Nakamoto coefficient ~173-178: met
- Uncapped validator set (active set fixed at 600): not met
- Low capital barrier to validate: not met
- No single dominant validator by design: met
- Multiple clients producing blocks (KAGOME in set, small share): partial
- On-chain token-holder governance (OpenGov): met
- Core dev not tied to one company (Parity dominant): partial
- Trustless user verification (light clients): met
- Token distribution: partial
- No protocol-level freezing of user funds: met
TON: 2/10
- Consensus Nakamoto coefficient ~72-80: met
- Uncapped validator set (active set capped by config): not met
- Low capital barrier (300k TON min bond, heavy hardware): not met
- No single dominant validator (Telegram largest by design): not met
- Multiple clients producing blocks: not met
- On-chain governance (validator config votes only): partial
- Core dev not tied to one company: not met
- Trustless user verification (lite clients, liteserver reliance): partial
- Token distribution (whale clusters linked to foundation): not met
- No freezing of user funds (2023 vote suspended 194 wallets): not met
Avalanche: 5/10
- Consensus Nakamoto coefficient ~29: partial
- Uncapped validator set: met
- Low capital barrier (2,000 AVAX min): partial
- No single dominant validator/entity: partial
- Multiple clients producing blocks (AvalancheGo only): not met
- On-chain governance (ACPs off-chain, adopted via upgrades): partial
- Core dev not tied to one company (Ava Labs): not met
- Trustless user verification: partial
- Token distribution: partial
- No protocol-level freezing of user funds: met
Cardano: 7/10
- Consensus Nakamoto coefficient ~21-23: partial
- Uncapped validator set (~2,150 pools): met
- Low capital barrier (no minimum pledge): met
- No single dominant entity (exchanges, multipools): partial
- Multiple clients producing blocks (alt nodes relay only): not met
- On-chain token-holder governance (CIP-1694): met
- Core dev not tied to one company (IOG legacy, now multi-team): partial
- Trustless user verification (no prod light client, Mithril helps): partial
- Token distribution (public sale majority at genesis): met
- No protocol-level freezing of user funds: met
You are welcome!

wall street discovering privacy in real time lol
JPMorgan and MIT are now researching how to make public blockchains usable for regulated finance
one of the ideas: encrypted mempools for public blockchains to hide pending trades until they execute so people can't front-run them
Zcash, Monero and Midnight might be onto something
