Lots of my #CardiffEast constituents will benefit from this rise in their pay thanks to our @UKLabour government #budget
We know the cost of living is putting pressure on working people. That's why we're raising the National Living Wage to £13.21 an hour and the 18-20 National Minimum Wage to £11.27, benefiting around 2.3 million workers.

Self-employed dads in #CardiffEast shouldn't have to return to work the morning after their baby is born. This @UKLabour Government is introducing paid paternity leave for self-employed parents, worth up to £194 a week. That's money in your pocket when you need it most.

My view won’t come as a surprise to my constituents. I feel as strongly about UK membership of the EU in 2026 as I did in 2016 when I resigned from the Shadow Cabinet to vote against the triggering of Article 50 because there was no plan.
*EXCLUSIVE* Former cabinet minister urges Andy Burnham to rejoin the EU Jo Stevens: “I want the UK to be an EU member again I welcome any move that brings our relationship closer so we can properly mitigate the harm Boris Johnson’s bad Brexit deal has inflicted on our country”

Over half of parents in Wales are worried about the cost of school uniforms. That is why I’m backing Cardiff Action Now’s #KitsAndKicks campaign. I hope schools across #CardiffEast sign up to reduce expensive branded uniform items and make school affordable for local families.

There are more online frauds and scams than any other type of crime in Wales and England. Please be vigilant. If you get one of these 👇 please report it to [email protected]
⚠️ We’re aware of scam emails claiming to be from the Council Tax team, telling residents their account is in credit and inviting them to request a refund via an online link. Don’t click on links or provide personal or banking information if you’re unsure an email is genuine.

When the minority Plaid Welsh Government announced an inadequate £40m for ALN, @WelshLabour said NO. But, we recognise schools and colleges need support now. That is why we called for £60 million, to get money through the door and to the children and young people who need it.
Welsh labour has secured an additional £60 million for ALN. That's 50% more than was on the table earlier this year. £60 million this year is £60 million more than what the Plaid Cymru Government first offered our Schools - but we'll keep fighting for more.
