RIP to Benjamin Zephaniah who has died at the age of 65.
The poet was a massive fan of the Welsh language saying it should be taught across the UK so people understand “different cultures and languages".
Here’s a clip of him visiting the @eisteddfod in 2015:

so @LlaisFestival STARTS NOW! ❤️🔥
🧷🏴 WASTELAND OF MY FATHERS 🏴🧷
& ⚡️🧷 BATTLESCAR 🧷⚡️
Honoured to be asked along to @theCentre this evening for the opening evening of this most excellent foray and snapshot into punk culture in Wales stitched together by our good friend David @CardiffMH - who’s an encyclopaedic legend and and all round punk and DIY fanatic.
Read stories and anecdotes from those that built the foundations of Welsh punk culture, read how the wider punk movement was received here in Wales and where it lies today.
Accompanied alongside a fantastic VR experience - BATTLESCAR: PUNK WAS INVENTED BY GIRLS, a film based on two teenage runaways who form a punk band in New York in the late 1970s 🔥
My first proper experience watching a film in VR. It was absolutely sensational. Well worth the visit for anyone with an affinity for music ❤️
Could have honestly spent hours discovering and vibing in David’s Punk exhibition but the tanoy asked me to leave promptly so I did. 😂😂😂
I WILL BE BACK!!! SEE YOU THERE?!
📅 BOTH RUN UNTIL THE 5th November!
🎟️ FREE ENTRY for the exhibition, £8 for the VR experience!

Just had a delightful chat w/my neighbour Jan about her swinging 60's dancing in the aisles of Cardiff Odeon, seeing Chuck Berry storm the city & her husband giving Diana Ross a lift in his taxi in 1965 🚕
History's incredible isn't it? ❤️
Keep telling it.
